After reading satenza's amazing guide for lower levels, I was inspired to try it out. So I start buying prayer pots, and after an hour, I finally have them...Of to the magic store and the rangers store. OK, lets see, spade check, mage gear, check, spade, check, food, check, prayer pots, check, lets go! As satenza said, dharok first...Please not in tunnel please not in tunnel...yes! Owned...Verac owned...guthan owned...torag...tunnel(yay, I knew he was good in tunnels)Karil...owned...Range gear...ahrim, well, owned him eventually with 43 range...So, off to the tunnel, I start looking around, and decide to stop wasting ppots when i get drained, well im down on 2 lobbies...Ahah, torag! 22(ouch) ok...lucky hit...prayer on...hey, whyd it go off so soon?Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh, no prayer left! another owie...OK, prayers back, now to turn it on, by this point im at 3 hp and frantically eating the 2 lobbies, but then, owned...so...how do i get to the centre?All the doors only say examine(hey, im a noob at barrows...) Well ive ran out of food and im low health so lets pray...How the do I get in?Ive had enough of this, tele varrock. Knowledge base. ooooooooooooooooh...Only one door, deposits everything in bank, takes out full lobbies...goes back...oh no, will the kc of continued? Yes...phew...(oh i had full lobbys and tele) Doh! i need spade, goes back...Eventually i got the reward which nicely paid off what i paid to go there...So, that was fun. Then the first time I got a barrows item was yesterday, on my second run, I had decided I had had such a great time that i wanted to try again, well, torag in the tunnel again, this time was ready for him...Goes in centre,opens chest, gets reward, I had no time to look what it was cause i dunt know if u can die when it collapses. So im in varrock, i look in my inv hoping for the best...1938 coins? I paid all that money to get like a tiny ammount thrown back at my face? Pah!but whats thing where the rotten food was(dam ghasts)? A...A stick...with...a bit of string on it... and...a ball on the end! yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pauloino Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 well on my first barrows run i was ill prepared to say the least.....i killed dharok with minimal effort......went to the next mound and it was a mage (had never looked at any guides only at the pic on the coffin)........quickly put on ranged gear but at combat 72 and 48 ranged i didnt stand a chance.......promptly got owned and ended up in fally i went back and finished of this round about two weeks later........nothing then on the 8th of feb i went back for my second run.....i did fine and slew all brothers and went to the tunnels looked around for my door and found it..........i ran for it as fast as my pixelated legs could carry me (probably the same as everyone else on run).....standing in front of the chest i potted up and tried to remember which brother i had in the tunnels.......guess ill ave to open it and find out arghhhhhhhh dharok.....eat.....eat.....eat....smart enough to put mage pray on......d'oh wrong one corrected it and the battle went smoothly from there i searched the chest to find....... THE LARGEST AXE I have ever possesed thats my story hope you enjoy it ! Slayer FTW!!! With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. aussy4321 Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 I had finally got 43 prayer and finished monkey madness with me best friend, so i decided hey i'll do barrows! i stocked on pots and fire blast runes. then i did a trip with such ease, i pooned all the brothers and got ahrim in tunnel (back then i was 50 range) i ran around in circles trying to find ahrim then found him, potted and pooned em with rune arrows so i ran over to the chest which was next door and grabbed the prize. i'm sitting there with a disgusted face "umm what the...i spent 50k on this trip and got about 10k worth of runes" so i left thinking that barrows was a waste. A whole month had passed when i got the urge to goto barrows and i had just got ancients. Read a guide on tip.it about using prayer potions with ancients and i thought it would be ease. i arrived and kill everyone but forgot dharok! i'm sitting there in the tunnel waiting for dharok which was luckily tunnel *well i was crying that it was tunnel :lol: * so i searched around and froze em! then ran behind a rock and wait...then froze again! this was so easy he comes at me i hid again then went to freeze *splash* dharok has now reached me and gone BAM! then i saw a small red cloud with a 60 in it right above my chest. I was eating lobbys frantically! until he hit another 32!. I was dead and down hearted so i went on with a normal runescape life. trying to forget about barrows until one day my friend got 2 d meds and a guthans warspear from chest! i stocked up with modern magic and the stuff to kill dharok. I walked there killed em and searched the chest! hey it was 300 blood runes and 800 chaos. wow that paid for the whole trip and many to come. After that i went to barrows twice a week. I reached the number of dry runs 74! decided i'd round it up. did the normal, found a partner and got K0'ed by dharok. i had given up barrows for ever. Then my friend oh annoying friend decided to try members through my account and went barrows. He walked around in circles killing me and loosing my stuff until he gets a lucky break and finishes off dharok! i was happy that someone who has never done barrows did better then i! so i let him find the chest and bam! it opens for me to find a nice Veracs flail!! That was my first good amount of money (sold for 1.3) Now it be April and easter's past so i look on tip.it "KIll count experiment - vollunteers needed" i was in a good mood so i quickly ran for the reply button and submitted my name which was put on the list. (soon after vollunteering i actually looked at what i had to do) 50 runs of 15 kill count. nothing too bad. I ran around buying 1mil worth of prayer potions to use and found a really nice barrow partner "laik" on the way to barrows (she is on the 6kc team) so we go barrows, first trip "i dub my self da Junk-o-nator" then i go on the second trip and get my very first kharils cross bow! i was happy i actually got something again. So laik and i go for more trips, she had to log sometimes so i went with the cool satenza and once or twice with some other people who signed up. I had hit 29th run when i said to the chest "this is the one trip i don't want a barrows item because i am out of blood runes please grant me this" i walk up, lean over the chest, i start to cross my fingers but remmeber that i think superstition is oppsoite...i open the chest! and i found 160 bloods, i was doing a little dance around and tele'd to ecto. I started to walk back to bank and my brother has pointed out "Hey, whats that!?!" i was looking at a guthans plate skirt sitting in my invo....Oh yes! thanks to satenza, the valor, laik, Lord i now own my first peice of guthans...only the spear, body, helm to go! I went down there when all the level 100+ ere down their ith their whips. I gloried seeing level 120s get poped for 40 50 dead and seeing the lootpile holding abyssal whips and glory necklaces and clicked like a maniac trying to get the drop. I killed 2 of the brothers then moved back to slayer which was the skill I had passion for. When the newmorton update came out I decided to go down in the crypt. My kill count is still at 2:-). Oh and if you need a challenge at barrows or are feeling bored and don't believe it can get worse, try killing ahrim with a composite ogre bow with bronze blunts, takes ages. I have only done around 50 chests this month ending up with 2xGuthans spear, Ahrims staff (found it from same chest with my first guthans spear), veracs helm and karils coif. All these only killing the brothers exept Karils coif which I got when I forgot to own Verac. I was bit suprised when he appeared when I was running out of the chest room. Having had horrible luck the rest of the day I don't expect anything special to come of this trip. Well I've been at the barrows for days, trying to pay my friend back the 8.3m I owe him for my nice set of guthan and Karil's x-bow. Everything goes perfect the first few chests. Verac flail and guthan guthan skirt in a row. I'm on my 4th chest of the trip, nothing new, same old thing. Dharok first, then karil, then hey, why not take out the mage eh? Put on my range gear dig down and hit 0 after 0 while Ahrim decides he wants to hit like he never has before through my hides, hiting 15+ after 15+. Right now the worst thing that could happen does, " Your computer will restart in: 26 seconds" *cancel* wait whats this, 6 people in Ahrims tomb along with me? Odd, theres a a health bar going very low "Wait, Thats mine!" but, it was too late :cry: as I fell to the floor I could see everyone run to the spot I had fallen. I arrive in Lumbridge and say to myself " Hmph, I did'nt know Karil's x-bow would keep over Guthan's helm" and walk off, to sell my entire bank to world two and still end up owing 600k :cry: Lesson learned? BlackStorm Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 I think I've posted this before, but in about a total of 30-40 trips to barrows I've ever made I got the following Loot in order: -Ahrim Top (800k, first barrows item from chest, only my 3rd trip ever made) -Torag Legs (800k) -Ahrims Staff (150k) -Guthan Plate (1.5m) :D Other things: 4k chaos (600k) About 1k bloods altogether (600K) So I've made a little over 4million off barrows :o , so now I got about 13m worth in items and cash combined.
