d2h - theoretically possible to safe-spot/solo anything?

Featured Replies

Since the d2h has an area-effect attack, would it be sensible for players to stand in a safe area and keep using the special attack?

Granted, this will take many hours to kill very high level monsters. But theoretically, is this possible?

ARENAscape:

Baratus [AS] max hit: 166 with Moon Battle Hammer

ixfd64 [AS] max hit: 116 with (untitled spell #2)

I guess it is possible but I dont own one so I am not sure. But i think it really matters where the safe spot is, i.e. in the special's range.

Actually I think if you used the special like that you would run forward at the monster and then do the special...dunno though.

Its called power stab or something so i think you have to attack one monster (face to face) and the monsters around it get hurt as well.

I think I understand what you're saying:

--------

-----O- O big monster

+++++ x you

----ox-- o small monster

--------

It's very difficult to setup, but technically possible. You will need to stand on a barrier that does occupy the edgy of a square only. Next, lure the monster in question to the direct opposite side of the barrier, also attack a weak npc and walk next to the barrier. special on the weak npc, and the monster in question should be hit as well.

Now why would you do this instead of a hally? I have no clue.

If anyone want, I'll give it a shot and see if i can pull this off.

All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it

the spec is exactly the same as the retribution prayer without the being dead bit - max hit 14, all surrounding squares affected, pointless

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

i think it only works in a multi zone :(

and the monsters have to be within 1 space of you

Not true, I have hit 19 to 20 with it before.
