April 20, 200620 yr I guess it is possible but I dont own one so I am not sure. But i think it really matters where the safe spot is, i.e. in the special's range.

You will need to stand on a barrier that does occupy the edgy of a square only. Next, lure the monster in question to the direct opposite side of the barrier, also attack a weak npc and walk next to the barrier. special on the weak npc, and the monster in question should be hit as well. Now why would you do this instead of a hally? I have no clue. If anyone want, I'll give it a shot and see if i can pull this off. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
