May 4, 200620 yr I may be wrong but I think your defence to magic will also increase with magic lv. Mage def is something like 50% def lv and 50% mage lv? df
May 4, 200620 yr Yes, it will increase with higher mage. It is good, because IF you become members you are already high enough to use those spells. Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
May 4, 200620 yr yea, go for it! you'll have a better chance of hitting those pesky pray-ers  Sodb ForumStop thinking. It's Runescape.
May 4, 200620 yr What is it with you people? Everytime someone starts over a skill or weapon, you elways talk about wildy! Their IS a live out wildy, their isn't that much life in wildy (you get killed)! Now: yes, always fun to get more then 59, else if you're 90, and you still are 59: NOOB? i'm a noob to, 86 Combat and 58 magic, should train that, but I have other stuff to do=> I'l a magic-noob :P And I'm proud! Anyways, get it higher... "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
May 4, 200620 yr Magic is not as useful on f2p as on p2p. On f2p, going above 59 isn't much good unless you pk, or like killing wizards/ dark wizards. Magic defence theoretically is 30% defence level and 70% magic level. If you PK, higher magic level increases the accuracy. Against NPC's, with wizard robes you'll hit almost all the time on f2p, since f2p doesn't have many high defence monsters. So if you PK with magic then yes, get higher magic. Otherwise, don't waste your time unless you have nothing better to do, or like killing wizards + dark wizards. My personal opinion is to go ahead and train it. You never know... you might become a member one day. Or you might decide to pk one day. Or Jagex might update nonmembers for more spells. If you have the cash to train it and the patience, then train it. Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! Click for more information!
