May 6, 200620 yr Ok, something scary is happening here, some people have posted that have been banned with little to no proof of them breaking the rules (Nuugz, with his topic he just posted, and another guy on another forum with similar problems) And I want to ask your opinion about something I just did and may led Jagex to believe I did something that I didn't >.< Well, I just bought 10k yews in World 1 for 2.5m, from some L3 in the default look (Was a good deal so didn't care much at that point), then I gave a friend the yews, and 1.8m so he could buy strings and fletch them all into Yew longs, and then give me back the profits... So the answer is: May Jagex see this as Real world item trading? I traded him the Logs (That were probably, nah probably not, definetly autoed -_-u), and the money, receiving nothing in the same trade screen, could it be enough "proof" for them that it was breaking a rule? What do you think? (Or I may just be paranoic of all this and nothing will happen ^^u) PkmarioPorygon 64Black Charlizard
May 6, 200620 yr It could very well be something that they would take for real world item trading. Just tell your friend to get the fletched fast :P But anywas, you can only hope that they won't take it for something wrong, because people give other people stuff a lot. And you shouldn't be banned for buying autoed logs.
May 6, 200620 yr Probably not. I trade things with friends all the time (one-sided trades) and nothing has happened, yet. Even if you do get banned, tell them the truth and they'll look into it further and discover it wasn't real world item trading. Sometimes you may want to just put up an item, even if it's worthless, just to avoid one-sided trading. Don't worry about it too much. Off Topic: This probably should be in Help & Advice.
May 6, 200620 yr Probably not. My friends and I trade stuff all the time for nothing in return just to wear it or keep it. But I don't think Jagex will think anything of it for 2 reasons. One, they are too busy trying to make new stuff every Monday and stop autoers. Two, they will probably think nothing of it and think you were just trading a friend, especially if he's giving it back. I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D
May 6, 200620 yr I do this with my friends all the time, and i have never gotten in any trouble the only time i get a little worried is when i give them big stuff like full rune or maybe a lot of money off topic: is drop trade breaking the rules cause i do that too
May 6, 200620 yr off topic: is drop trade breaking the rules cause i do that too Yes it is breaking the rules on multilogging (think its rule 8?) if you trade to another account of your own, as this is interacting. Drop trading another person is unnecessary, just use the normal trade window. On topic, it would be quite unlucky if you got banned. I've done my share of 1 sided trades, sometimes giving stuff to my brother or friends, or random people I help, and nothing happened (yet). 89/99 farming
May 6, 200620 yr Jagex don;t instantly ban accounts for these things, they track accounts of the macros and any accounts on thoose ip addresses Sure if you bought from the macro they will track where thoose yews are going, but as long as they get given to a 'main' account tht sues the same ip as the macro they came from then it is clear you were not part of a macroing/real world trading loop Your juts being paranoid, if you felt like this in this first place I have to ask: Why did you even buy from the lvl 3? Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
May 6, 200620 yr He probably didnt think about it in the first place. but it doesnt matter, chances of you being banned for that are pretty small. like someone said earlier on, most of the Jagex team are thinking of some other ways to stop macroers and some more updates for RS.
May 6, 200620 yr Well, ... NO! They just can't ban you! I have real life friends that play Runescape. I give them stuff and they also give me stuff. But in real life, they don't give me anything! So Jagex can't ban us! "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
May 6, 200620 yr Looking at whats happening recently, it doesn't seem to matter if you're breaking the rules or not. Jagex seem to be going for the random approach. I suggest you break the rules, you probably have the least chance of being banned  , seriously though I don't think they can ban you for that.
May 6, 200620 yr To be honest, it wouldn't suprise me. You definately shouldn't be banned though. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 6, 200620 yr Just wait and see what happens. If they ban you, appeal against it and tell them what happened and everything should be resolved. If they don't ban you then you were worrying over nothing ;) ~Ian Retired Tip It Moderator | Zybez Radio DJ - Listen Here

May 6, 200620 yr I never worried or thought about it until it happened to me. How I see it, if I got banned for doing nothing wrong and their "detection systems" flagged me, than they can flag anybody.
