Best God Spell -- what do you think?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have been quit RS for a long time but now I am back. My mage is 88 and my combat is 82 so I pk quite a bit, just wondering what everyone thinks hits the best out of the god spells?? Cant decide any more!! All replies appreciated.

For pk'ing I'd say Saradomin Strike, cos I think it drains prayer (not sure)

99 cooking / 99 magic / 99 ranged / 99 hitpoints / 99 herblore / 99 defence

Quoted for truth, wisest thing I've heard anyone say on Runescape.

I'd say the zamorak one, since it lowers magic level. This then means that you have a greater chance to hit harder.

18/22 skills at or better than 60.

1300+ skill total.

Barrows:Torag's Helm x2, Guthan's Helm, Guthan's Warspear, Dharok's Greataxe, died to dharok, Guthan's Platebody, Ahrim's Hood. All in a total of 104 runs.

i say sara... as it drains prayer when hit. No help from dropping your enemies magic with 5 in zammy flames...

Yes

Guthix drains defense and zamorak attack or strength (not sure), it's up to what you want to use, but i think everyone use the spell for the big hits, not the special

Guthix- When effective (does damage) it lowers the enemies defnce lv

Saradomin-When effective (does damage) it lowers the enemies prayer points.

Zamorak-When effective (does damage) it lowers the enemies mage lv.

if your fighting anchient mages i would say zammy is the best, might just be good enough to lower thier mage so they cant hit you (if i get anoyed with some abyss pkers while im crafting nats i get out dds, 3 casts of flames of zammy and rest lobbies, cast all 3 zammy then spec them, usually the flames mean they cant actually get me back because thier mage is too low  )

wait...what?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Shouldn't this be under help and advice?

Anyways, what spell would be best to use when not pking? I was thinking of zammy flames but only because I have a bunch of fires but few airs..

EDIT: My bad, I thought this was asking which one was better..

i think he thought that it lowers their mage level. if it did, it would lower their mage defense, i suppose. then you would hit harder because mage defense is based on mage level. i think...

mage def is based half on your opponents magic level and half on their actually mage def bonus.

A percentage of your natural magic def also involves your def lvl.

Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

Let me break this down for you.

Saradomin Strike

This uses 2 Fires, 2 Airs, and 2 Blood runes. It's especially handy for PKing because it lowers prayer. However, outside of the wild, the "special effect" might as well be nonexistent. I'd say if you're using it exclusively for PKing, this is the one.

Flames of Zamorak

This uses 4 Fires, 1 Air, and 2 Blood runes. This is also good for PKing. It lowers the magic level of your opponent, which has various uses. In almost ALL cases, it will prevent someone from Ice Barraging you. It also helps you hit harder, and get hit less. This is more usefull out of the wild, because, even though there's no noticable special effect, it hits harder than the others. This is for you if you're planning to do some stuff out of the wild.

Claws of Guthix

This uses 1 Fire, 4 Air, and 2 Blood runes. This is THE spell to use out of the wild. It lowers your target's defence, making it great for nailing some vulnerable NPCs. However, that doesn't mean it's not useful in the wild, just not as much so as the others. I'll stop talking about this one here, because it's not the choice for you.

Hope this helped!

Good-luck in the wilderness.

EDIT: Don't forget ... You can have more than 1 "charged" god staff at a time.

I also thought that Guthix had an extra binding thing? Like snare or something... but meh, I don't know.
