6 June 2006 - Pest Control update Next

 

Just a small update this week... we didn't want to interfere with your construction!

 

 

 

This week we are releasing various improvements for the Pest Control mini-game, as well as increasing the range of rewards available to you.

 

 

 

If you take a look, you'll find much more information available in the waiting areas, as well as some nice new interfaces during the game itself. These will tell you useful statistics like the health of the Void Knight, the status of the portals and the amount of damage you have inflicted.

 

 

 

We've also made changes to the rewards. You'll still get 1 point for successfully completing a round of the mini-game, but you can now use those points to buy herb, seed or mineral packs, a new Guthixian Mace with spell casting abilities and an armour set to allow you to blend in with the other Void Knights! There is also the chance to save up 100 points and spend them all in one go, earning you 10% extra XP in your chosen stat.

 

 

 

 

 

We have also added some gold and silver mining spots to the Tzhaar Area.

 

 

 

i hope the mace isnt that bad... and is the silver / gold spot rlly usefull at the tzhaar? etleast you can sell silver and gold to the shop there...

uhm? is it a mace? or is it a staff? what a waste about 900k exp wasted for a full set robe + mace... uhm... but nobody could have the full set atm... cuz you need to win another 650 games...

 

 

 

i hope they are untradeable and that they dont start selling for 10mil per staff / robe...

autocast guthix? it just so happens that, that is my only god spell that i decided to learn. how great :D

robes are great, top gives 40def bonus everything! and bottom 28! best magic defences if i am right but gloves... 4 def everything... barrow 1s give 12!!!! and attacks!!!

Auto casting god spells sounds a bit dodgy...

Hey you edited faster than I posted :lol: with the 10% increase, its over 110k xp an hour with dharoks and nitro dropping. And that's not bad at all :)

I just tested out some of the packs. Here's what I got.

The herbs change stacks...so if you get 4 harrs one time, you might get 4 irits the next time. Same amount of herbs every time, just randomly picks different herbs to be different numbered piles.

Not great, BUT, it does autocast a god spell...which is very valuable in itself.

Woah! The armour seems to have the best mage defence than any other armour. :shock:

 

 

 

EDIT: Actualy they don't, black d hide armour still owns, except the robe bottom has +2 more mage def than the black chaps.

Maybe slayer, but if you were to pk first of all it's too valuable (unless you're in a low level wildy and you can TP back to it fast enough to pick it up) and second of all isn't stuff like splitbark better because it gives defense to melee also? Unless this does too.

The mace I personally know isn't tradable and I'm guessing the rest of the gear isn't too. Personally, I'm not suprised the slightest by this since the castlewars stuff isn't tradable.
