Conjurer9
Hey guys, I never post here but I frequently come by to check out tips and whatnot. Anyway, I'm goin for 94 magic, (who isn't?) and I'm lvl 89 at the moment. I was wonderin what would be the best way to reach that goal: Alching, Camelot Teleporting or Fire Blasting. I'd be able to make the runes for all three of those options, which would help me get 77 rcing for when bloods come out. Alching would get me a profit but it would take far too long to gather all the magic logs and strings and fletch them. I would have to alch 45k times for 94 magic. I figured Camelot Teleporting would definitely be quicker than alching, as the fact that no fletching has to be done makes up for the lower exp. But how dull and monotonous. I would have to teleport 53k times for 94 magic. Fire Blasting would of course be the most exciting of the three options. I would get hitpoints exp and also a chance at good monster drops as I lvl magic. The downsides are that I would have to gather air runes as well as deaths, and I can't really calculate how many times I would need to cast this. Not counting damage exp, I would have to fire blast 58k times for 94 magic. But then I scrolled down and saw Enchant Onyx: 30k times to 94! I could cast that at the Mage Training Arena which would also help getting the Mage Book, Infinity Boots, and possibly Master Wand and Bones to Peaches. The real beauty of this is I can craft 2x cosmics so that would require only 15k ess! Comments? Suggestions? What does everyone think?
imaerehw14
go with enchant onyx. i think it uses water and earth runes to cast, which is easily done by buying a mud staff. they are about 2.1m at the moment. all you have to do is buy or make the cosmics and you are all set. just go to the magic training arena and work the magic. the only problem is, the only thing you can buy witht he points you get in that area is more cosmics, since everything else needs other points to buy. Conjurer9
Yeah I know the rewards need other types of points. That shouldn't be a problem though as they mostly require enchantment points. Also, Enchant Onyx uses earth and fire which means only a lava staff.
pkthedreamer
Onyx enchant would probably be the fastest but it's also very boring.. You can also mix it up with fire blasting some and get some nice drops from monsters too :) 200.
imaerehw14
oh, im sorry. i was there earlier and got mixed up with the enchant spells. i thought dragonstone was with a fire staff... aparently it wasnt. -.-

mojo477
Quote from KDB:Please note due to the ease of casting the enchant spells, you may find the experience you get is slightly reduced. so i would do the onxy tablet making but u need to have great con or a freind who will let u use 4 a long!! time and also if u make tablets ull need 30k soft clay Mojo477 has had to quit members so i need friends to talk to on my pure Lived4devil so please add her"The elves having helped create the crystal saw is like Greenpeace having helped create a nuclear seal skinner"
Smapla
Enchants in the arena give only like 3/4 the xp =\ you'll probably have to cast around 37.5k casts then?
nvw08
I'd be happy to sell you a lava staff for cheap :) that's the way I would go, about 37.5k times... you can also buy cosmic runes from the shop with your enchant points, meaning that you don't have to craft all the ess =D> Droolman's item Guide | My RuneScape pictures | My barrows videos, with download link!Free Image Hosting! | Free File Hosting! Veryhyper
I would just mix it up to keep from being bored. You do realize that you can open a movie player next to your rs window while alching and watch a movie while alching right? or just watch t.v. Viktorkrum77
Just a question, how do you plan on getting that many onyx stones. They sell for 300k tokkul, and are very rare drops. Am I missing something here? Me doing staff.
pokemama
Victorkrum, I was as lost as you were. From what I've read here, they mean to go to the Mage Training Arena (which I have yet to visit). There is an enchantment room where you can cast this type of spell without having to supply your own Onyx. Of course, you don't get to keep the resulting item, but evidently you earn the magic xp. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
