Belts

Another one of my world famous suggestions oh boy. Have a reason for your "this sucks" posts please.

Belts. You can store virtually any stackables and other itemson them. This would allow an extra space which would usually be for coins, feathers, rune, and about anything else small or stackable, though unstackable items such as keys won't stack on a belt neither. The belts would range from leather to dragonskin, like range armor. Belts would also provide minor protection and weight. In order to make a belt, you need 1 steel bar and 3 leathers/hides. Use a needle and thread on the hides to make an unbuckled belt. Then, just use a hammer on the belt make the complete belt. You can wear the belt in a new spot above the legs and below the body. Just to make thing easier for you to read, I'll post what can be stored on each belt in a nice organized list.

Leather: 16 crafting level

Storage Space: 1

Items storable: Coins, feathers, notes, keys, paper items(Shantay pass, fliers, etc.)

Hardleather/snakeskin: 33/55 crafting level

Storage Space: 2

Items storable: Same as leather

Green Dragonhide: 67 crafting level

Storage Space: 2

Items storable: Same as leather, runes, hides, ess

Blue Dragonhide: 73 crafting level

Storage Space: 3

Items storable: Same as Green Dragonhide, arrows, bowstrings, potions

Red Dragonhide: 80 crafting level

Storage Space: 4

Items storable: Same as Green Dragonhide, darts, throwing knives, throwing axes, rune ess bags

Black Dragonhide: 89 crafting level

Storage Space: 4

Items storable: Same as Red Dragon hide, weapons(in including staves and bows. Weapons take up all 4 storage spaces though.)

I think a more reasonable suggest would be a rune pouch. Mages can hardly carry any food because they need space for all the runes.

I mean rangers have there arrow pouch and warriors have a sword space. Whats the conspiracy against mages for?

But I guess most people would say thats what staffs are for.

Wow neither i didn't word my suggestion very well or you don't understand. The strongest belt only give you 4 extra spaces. Weapons take up all 4 spaces. That means you can clear out a spot for an extra weapon and put food there instead :D

Belt's also hold runes didn't you read? You can save 4 spaces on the best belt by putting 4 runes into them! :D

A new spot below the plate and above the legs would be reasonable. Updated the post.

I think a belt just for runes would be better. The other stuff seems kinda dumb. But it is the best belt idea ive seen. Just limit it to runes

I think the "Quiver" slot should be changed to a "Belt" slot, allowing mages also to carry a Rune Pouch there for runes. There is, however; really not the need for a "Belt" Armour piece.

Hmm, well I think there should be belts for every dragon hide type, yes..

You could also add some enchanted gems to them to make them part of combat armor.

Bags are great in WoW, that's true. But they definetly wouldn't fit Runescape.

Anyway it would give a nice chance to add bit realism and chance to keep weapon in belt when not fighting and give some bonuses like gloves to fighting with gem idea of mine..

Mages seem to be doing just fine though. You give them a belt pouch and it allows them to carry other items they otherwise won't. Rune armor, dragonhide armor, that sort of thing. As it is they do just fine and even beat rangers an alright amount. Also, think about it. Warriors have to carry potions, alot of archers carry ranger and defense potions. Over all everything is pretty balanced as it is.

problem:

You wouldn't need an iron bar, because in real life, iron quickly becomes iron oxide! (rust)

So you should make it steel, not iron.

but runes are stackable and dont take up too much space... i think that it would be cool but its not absolutely needed

Oh, and please explain to me why Rangers, who in truth only need one type of stackable weapons, have a quiver slot while mages, needing a variety of runes to cast just one spell, don't.

And no, the new "Belt" slot should be for runes and ranged ammo only, nothing else. Perhaps a rune pouch equipped on the "Belt" slot can carry three types of runes...?
