What MMORPG's Have You Played?

Featured Replies

I know most of us have played Runescape so don't add that one to your list unless it's the only one you've played.

I've played...

EverQuest II

Lineage II (extreme server, not retail)

Shadowbane

~I'm currently playing Runescape while I wait for Darkfall

So... What MMORPG's have you played?

Runescape. I've DLed others, they just never work. So, runescape is the only free browser based one I can find, so its the only one I can play.

When I was younger, I played Toontown. Was decent for a while, but got boring....

Heh, I'm not going to admit to playing that... I will say it was fun, but not for the cost :wall:

I've palyed RuneScape (obviously :)). Also I've played Knight Online, it's pretty good, but gets WAY repetitive. Ye, more repetitive than RuneScape.

I am gonig to admited I played toon town too when i was 12 :?

got bored after 2 months. game play is just like runescape's very own"slayer skill"

Endless age (good game but it gives me my 1st person game headache)

Maplestory (don't have spare time to play it)

this deicide online I recently found, still in beta.

Probably this and Silkroad Online.

I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

Phantasy Star Online Ep. I and II

Great game, but it was all hacking..

But i enjoyed that aswell :P

I've played....

-Everquest II

-Lineage II (retail and a lot of various private servers. Not extreme though (yuk that server was bad))

-Runescape

-Silkroad Online

Can't think of any others right now.

Gunbound and Runescape.

Kinda get annoyed by the cash freaks in Gunbound though :(

I swear their servers were down for a week when they tried to update to C4... The SS lag sucked and I didn't like the PvP system in that game... But I had my fun before I quit... It involved wasting 2 bil, then camping Execution grounds on all my characters till my gear was gone

I haven't played any other MMORPGs exept for RS. When I saw the price for WoW, I was like wow.

"The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

siggy3s.jpg

I'd have to say its just RS for me, unless you count the 2 weeks that I played "another world"? (at least I think thats what it was called, the RS clone from long ago)... The closest I have come to any other MMORPG is D2, and thats not even close to a true MMORPG.

I am interested in trying WoW, but seeing as you can get 3 mos. of RS p2p for 1 month of WoW, I think i'll be sticking with RS

11264785.gif

I have never played an MMORPG other than RS and 5 minutes on WOW and FFXI.

Star Wars: Galaxies (which is now completly fudged up)

What did they do to Galaxies?

pcingbs6.jpg

Goals: 80/80 Range, 75/90 Strength, 77/85 Attack, 64/76 Fishing and crafting 31k natures (o.O)

I started on ISOGames a while ago, then went to L2Enraged, and a bunch of others. My favorite server (forget the name atm) was a 45x server, ton of fun.

I also screwed around on a 10000x server once, funniest thing in the world. I got a +35 or so weapons, was funny.

On ISOGames (it was a 25x server I think, or 20x) I played when it started, had billions worth. I had 2billion on my crafter and in the bank, and then another 4 billion (between bank/char) on another guy of mine, and then at least 5-6billion worth of items on my crafter. I was good, hehe.

As far as the pvp goes, I loved it in that game. I can see why you didn't like it on extreme (With the community, man must have sucked) but I had some great pvp on the 45x server I played on. I played a lvl 80 Tyrant as a main, and also played a 76 spellhowler that was awsome.

But EQ2 has consumed me right now.

@ Captain: Bassicly a day after releasing their new expansion pack, sony completly changed the game elements of the game. They reworked combat COMPLEATLY and fudged over a ton of jedis. (bassicly, it was hard as nails and took years of work to become a jedi. In the reworked "easy" mode version you could start as a jedi proffesion).

They bassicly dumbed-down the game.

Also, as far to anyone complaining about the price of normal MMO's, they realy don't cost that much. I guess it depends how much you play, but for me I get a ton of values out of my money :). That is just me however.

Thanks Nadril. And who in the world would want a dumbed-down game :-s

Yeah, $10-$15 a month isn't too bad, except in the summer I don't play as much so I don't get as much out of the games... That's why I'm just on Runescape now... *Prays Darkfall will come out soon* In the winter, I definitly get my moneys worth... Since it snows here in Iowa, and it gets so damn cold. Also Toontown isn't worth the money you spend... It's very childish... In Everquest you slash a guy with your sword, in Toontown you hit him with a pie... I've never played Star Wars, although I think of an MMORPG as more of a sword and shield kind of game... I'm rambling again so I'm going to shut up now :-#

$20 for the game and $15 a month is *nothing*

I believe this might get me off of most console/PC games I buy (averaging 2 a month or so this last year >.<) It's much cheaper than buying 2 $20 games every month :P And it looks to keep me entangled forever :D

smithie3.jpg

I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.

$15 per month equals to $180 a year.

That's still quite a bit of money no matter how you try to justify it :?

Thanks Nadril. And who in the world would want a dumbed-down game :-s

All the kiddies that complain the game is "too hard".

SWG was a very complex MMO from my understanding.

Also, 180$ a month. As of right now a 50$ game probaly will take me.... 2-3 weeks to beat. Depending on the game it might just take a week, or a month. Now excluding an online FPS (where I could spend 50$ and be entertained for years possibly, such as half life and its mods). Realy, it isn't a lot especialy if you look at a paycheck. (I'm not working yet, but will be in the fall.) If you get paid even 6$ an hour, all you would have to do is work 3 hours a month to pay it off :D.

But i'm not here to argue about the price , hehe. It all depends how much you play. :D.

I have never played an MMORPG other than RS and 5 minutes on WOW and FFXI.

they changed the combat system, this made many high levels accounts basicly useless in PVP combat.

As compared to $360 to $480 a year, it's *very* justifiable

And if you are working and make mroe then that in one paycheck (one week, and im talking about 180 a year) then it matters little....

I played RS constantly for about 4 years, the 5th i slacked alot whilst getting back into more FF, and now im playing WoW.

Its the only game i know thats bigger then Morrowind/Oblivion, in acutle size to explore.

I want to play FFXI (even though it really shouldnt be called a FF). Might do so when/if i get a 360.

Edit: i just calculated out just how much i made tonight working (worked 8 hours). I made approx $56.80 tonight... i think that pays off most of it.
