Bubsa, of course.

 Remind me to add Bubsa to my list.

 I missed this first time round!

I'd go for Vishnu. He seems a pretty laid back guy. I mean, with all those arms he could get into all kinds of mischief! But he doesn't, he controls himself and he always does the right thing.

Plus, he's blue! Good old Vishnu \'

I've always been quite partial to Hermes. :D

Also, Sheogorath, Mephala, Hircine, Sithis, and Julianos.

Hermes is a loser! He's only a messanger, pfftt....

Sorry for double post :(

EDIT: I have so many ideas flowing through my head right now

Monty Python,

The Boston Red Sox,

And

Only a loser would say JaGeX

Hermes isn't a loser. ^_^ Not only is he a messenger, he mainly stays out of the gods' quarrels, and he's the god of all who live by their wits.

xD

From books? Possibly the Winged Defender from the Young Wizards series by Diane Duane.

From mythology? Probably Loki from Norse myths. I'm also rather fond of Athene from Greek mythology. xD

Also, Quetzalcoatl is interesting in his search of morality and in his downfall; a defeat not typical in most ancient mythology. He met his demise to a whispering evil; the god Tezcatlipoca, who had no physical form. This aspect is highly unusual as far as ancient mythology goes.

Whether he was truly considered a 'god' is debated; was he based off of a real Nahuatl ruler or was he naught but myth?

Also, I like Amaterasu. xD

I love languages.

J'adore les langues.
