TheLastTemplar
I have been attacked again and again for talkin about christianity. i have rights to talk about it, in our bible its tells us make disciples of all the nations all im doing is what im supposed to do. so what do you think?Religion in RS? ~yes ~no http://siggy.draynor.net/goal/fletching ... cow101.gif[/img] Nova Ordo Secularum
Artie_900
I don't know what moon language you wrote that in, but it sure doesn't resemble the English that I know. The only fragment of coherency that I could extricate from that mess was "bill of rights", so I'll just forestall whatever argument you attempted to make by saying that the Bill of Rights has nothing to do with Runescape whatsoever for the following twofold reasons: [*:1ts6jznm]The bill of rights only affects the American government [*:1ts6jznm]Jagex is an UK-based company, not the American government Real religion doesn't have any place in Runescape, and Jagex would be perfectly within their rights to shut you up if they cared to. TheLastTemplar
dont attack me. all i asked was what your opinion is,and you gave it,thank you. http://siggy.draynor.net/goal/fletching ... cow101.gif[/img] Nova Ordo Secularum
Zonorhc
You may have the right to talk about it, but that doesn't mean that people won't be irritated by your preaching, or whatever it is you do. Talk about religion only when asked about religion. Nobody is compelled to agree with your sentiments toward theology. Toxicologist
Well, I don't remember any JAGeX rule saying you can't, but I definitely won't. I mean, do you seriously think you can convert anyone over the Internet? that aside, most people playing Runescape are quite young. They would simply insult you. If you really are so interested in preaching for God, actively go out there in real life and do it; not as an afterthought in a game. Why do you resist? thaimodz
You have the rights, but it's not a good manner on the Net to talk about that actively (to convert, to divide people up, or sth like that). These "don't-shout-around" stuffs range from Race, Religion, Nationality, Politics, Royal Families (for some countries) and all those sensitive matters. What if you say you like red capes but someone else said green cape rules and red capes suck, would you dislike him? And I'm sure there will be someone that will flame it back. Now the fire has started... [Admin Edit: Innapropriate Text in sig removed]
Giordano
If you told me in RS to be a Chirstan and tried to Convert me, I swear I will report you... This is a game, not a church. Lord_K
Well what would you do if someone followed you preaching Islam, trying to make you become Muslim?
TheLastTemplar
how many of ya'll even know what christianity is.. I dont look to convert, i look to get people thinking about i. If i wanted to convert people that would be one on one in real life.now, you see if i dont bring it up i dont get people thinking. If i dont get people thinking, then im not doing my job as a christian. Yes, i understand that other people have there own beleifs but, like I said, all i am trying to do is get them thinking, and hopefully, later have some1 finish it for me. http://siggy.draynor.net/goal/fletching ... cow101.gif[/img] Nova Ordo Secularum
willyhenriksen
You're meaning that you try to teach people about moral and stuff like that? That does neither belong in the game, the persons playing RS is all to busy playing and do not want to have a discussion about what is wrong and right. This game is for kids and not for mature grown-ups, it's not your mission to learn people. It's easier to do these sort of things on forums where the atmosphere is more relaxed. R.I.P. Zonorhc
Understand what, exactly? What is there to try and get people to think about? Oh, sorry, I forgot. Clearly, one can only understand morality and talk about it if they are a Christian. Giordano
I wonder how you talk religion with most players being dumb. "Jesus died to save us all." "omfg n00b, he diez cuz of teh croos" Go to a church I'm telling you... "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." mrscrounger
As most people on this game belong to another religon group they don't care. If I were you I would stop doing this as you would get flamed like crazy. It is nice to see some people stick up for their religon though.
Toxicologist
This is completely irrelevant. If you really are so fanatical for Jesus, why don't you stop playing this tempting game (which, by definition, might be considered as Greed: a longing for worldy comforts) and actually go out there and preach to your friends and neighbors? Personally I have nothing against talking about religon in Runescape, but don't do it to people who don't want to. And definitely don't use Runescape as a preaching ground, because one it would not work and two it seems a bit hypocritical to me. If you want to know why, well; I just explained it in the previous paragraph. Why do you resist? lokisilath
ummm dude RS is a game which people of all nationalities, religions, ages, genders, backgrounds play. its one of the only places i can name where all these people can meet and get along... and in answer to your question theres already religion in RS we got all kinds of gods like saradomin, guthix, zamarok, zaros and a couple of others as well i think...so leave real life religion out of it because it just causes hassle and long pointless arguements. Toxicologist
Besides, I doubt God would appreciate it. He does not want us to debate about him on Earth. Just spread the word and let the Holy Spirit do the rest... remember, it is God's job, not yours. Why do you resist?
