ok, so last night i was in fally trying to buy a whip and some lvl 60 something comes up to me and says "my friend is buying green masks for 21mil!" I say "ok!" (green masks were only 19.8mil last night so i thought i was gunna make a 1.2 mil profit) She says "come to world 28" Thinking this is too good to be true is quickly hop worlds to 28. I arrive in the world and ask where she is. She responds "follow" so i do. (at this point i have my green mask, about 2.6mil for my whip, my full frog prince, and my rune wc axe. So i have about 22 mil worth of stuff with me) we had just left fally and I ask again "where are we going?" she now says "she is finishing death platue quest" At this point i become suspicious. Why would someone be carrying 21 mil to buy a mask at death plateu? I keep following anyway and notice we havent gone through the members gate. I ask again where we are going and this time she says that we are going to the alter. (the one up by the wildy) I now know something is wrong here and start running back to fally. She says "omg!! you're wasteing my time!!!" I calmly tell her i forgot something, and run back to the bank. I take out a ring of life, some teleport runes, and put my mask and other 2.6 mil away. I then run back up to her and keep following her. Another lvl 62 comes up and says "I heard someone is buying rares up here. I couldnt let him die to i shout "dont do it!! Its a scam and they're gunna kill you!" the girl im follwoing shouts "You're noob! First of all we're not even going in the wildy. Second of all you're a noob. Third of all go away. Fourth of all you dont even have your mask with you!" I just say "yes i do" and she says "then follow me!" I say no and run south just enough so we cant see eachother on the minimap. I wait a min and then go north square by square until im in lvl 1 wildy. As soon as im in i see a group of 4 people standing on the minimap, and then; "Bam!! You have been frozen!!" 10 damage "Bam!! You have been frozen!! 23 damage!! (for a sec i thought i was teleblocked) I quickly teleport away before they do teleblock me. I am not standing in cammy as the last spell pops over my head, leaving me standing with 47 hp (out of 70).

 

 

 

The reason why this is so dangerous:

 

1. There isn't a sign that says how the wilderness is dangerous, so you dont know when you're entering it

 

2. You cant turn the screen, because the is a mountain on both sides that also blocks your view. This also prevents you from seeing what level the people attacking you are.

first time ive heard about this scam, maybe it cause i bother about reading about them to bother :roll:

Good thing to always remind players of these scams. With some common sense people could avoid these completely but sometimes they are just too greedy about the profit they think they are going to get and thus get fooled.

nice story telling ability....however this scam was unknown to me but the principle of going to someone else when they want to buy off you is stupid
