It'd be so much fun. :P i remember back in '97 my dad did that. getting rid of aol then was almost as much trouble as it is now. cancelling the account was bad, but did get done. getting the software off the computer seemed to be impossible. we never did suceed, it killed our computer. in retrospect my dad probably screwed it up himself, but it made us hate aol ever since then.
