August 21, 200619 yr In Underground Pass, there is Jules' speech from Pulp Fiction, that guy who helps you says it at some point. Thats a massive Pop Culture movie. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
August 21, 200619 yr there are a lot of references to austin powers. next time you run past a pig pen examine a baby pig. or a baby mole. Note: You may have to examine a few. =D> Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

August 21, 200619 yr There are quite a few... Unferth is a character in Beowulf, which is an Old English myth. (I think, I read it about 6 months ago, at school) I don't know if this counts, but Mos'Le Harmless comes from Mostly Harmless, the 5th book in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
August 21, 200619 yr well i think that mos'le harmless is more likely ironic as the islnads dangerous, but one i noticed (and which made me laugh) is the little dialogue you and evil bob have on his island, which is almost EXACTELY the same, word for word of Patrick Magoohan talking to Number 2 at the start of each episode of the prisoner... my dad gave me a fiver for finding that =p
August 21, 200619 yr When you examine the zombie head (from Halloween 2005), it says "Alas...I hardly knew him" which reminds me of the old Irish song 'Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye'. In some cultural rituals, chickens were associated with evil spirits. This could be where the idea of the evil chicken random event came from. Druids come from Celtic folklore, Mithril from Tolkiens's fiction, Both Ankou and Minotaur from mythology. The name 'Morytania' reminds me of Mauritania, the republic.

This year we read Romeo and Juliet, and the "Casket of Ammontilado." Then I saw Fortunato. It was crazy. It also says "He could use a sip of Ammontilado." :) I <3 Gears of War 2.
