malo2 Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 Well alot of countries have their own border problems, and since the US is to ignorant to give me news about other countries, all i know of is what is going on in the us and middle east -_- The point is, that I find it afully funny that once the borders between us and mexico are tightened a little, the mexicans suddenly start calling us racist. I saw some Mexicans crouching behind a wall, watching a white american entering his place of work then one said to the other "Okay that's the guy, I'll keep watch whilst you nick his job, Jose". No one steals jobs. They are willing to work just as hard for less money. If you had a choice of hiring one person who does X amount of work in 1 hour and gets payed $Y/hour and another who does X amount of work in 1 hour and gets payed $Y/hour - which would you choose? Think about this way, if you were paid 10 cents for working a WHOLE DAY back in Mexico, and in the US they pay you get $2 per day, which could you choose? You also got to know, that everyone living in North/South Amercia are mostly immagrants. Only the Natvie Amercians are the true "citizens" of the Amercans. About the wall, I think its pretty useless. The patrols on the borders are to look for terriorists also, well, I saw a 20/20 I believe, that made a report on it. They asked some high-ranked guy in the patrol how many terrorist they found and he said "No terriorsts was ever captured." About the those mexicans thinking USA are racists, you're just generalizing a country for one action. Its like saying Muslims are all terrorists, which I know some Islamic people in real life and all of them are nice people. Since the world population doubles every 50 years (meaning it will be 12B in 2050, and 24B in 2100) so shortage of workers is highly unlikely. We would need something mayor to change the tide so suddenly, and no, and epidemic wouldnt do it because it would also shorten the workers needed because of the shortade of humans that need the services. The economic stability and growth of several of the states that surround the Mexican border rely on cheap menial labour that is provided by immigrants from several south American nations. The southern boarder could have easily been fixed a long time ago, but it wasn't "news worthy" for the corporate media, and thus we are in the predicament that we are in.
