Ok, so I'm rooting around in my bank clearing out all the rubbish that's left in there from quests and training and I turn up a couple of thousand chaos runes. I have gold gauntlets atm but can easily get them changed to chaos, so I'm wondering, were does anyone think I should shoot these chaos runes off?

 

 

 

I'm looking for suggestions which give either:

 

 

 

1. Good money/drops

 

2. Good xp

 

3. Both (obviously but I doubt this is going to happen)

 

 

 

I have a vague notion of killing some metal drags - good idea? Other suggestions gratefully recieved.

if you want drop go do some barrows, you'll probebly get some extra chaos to keep you going a fair while

Good xp? Crumble undead with them! I see you have 55 slayer, and thus can wield the slayer staff which autocasts crumble undead. However, before doing this check to see if crumble only gives 24.5xp per cast, or whether it gives 24.5xp plus 2xp per damage inflicted. If it's the former, then it isn't worth it at all. I see also that you have 65 magic, go to fally and purchase a wizard's mind bomb, go to yanille, drink it and go into the guild. Downstairs is a cage full of zombies perfect for casting crumble on.

Use em in castle wars =o Everyone is running around with negative magic defence =D

I thought crumble was a flat rate of xp but I could check although I might go for something more fun (I suck at any form of power training, no patience).

 

 

 

I'm not a big castle wars player, I've been a few times and sucked thoroughly. I might give it a shot later once I get around to properly training mage.

 

 

 

I like the idea of going to the barrows, I've never been before because I guess its going to be kind of expensive in terms of pray pots and food although I have a fair amount of both in my bank so I could give it a shot.

Well barrows would be good for profir, as you get more

 

chaos and barrow items which you can sell.

 

Take some prayer pots though, because fire bolt with gauntlets don't hit

 

that high.

Damage dealing spell exp is BaseExp + 2*HitDone

 

So, for Crumble Undead it is 24.5 + 2*(0-15) which is 24.5-54.5

 

Or an expected average of about 39.5

Good drops i suggest fire giants then i mean d med isn't the best drop but its still 550k ish if you get one wel i think it would be good magic xp also im off 2 bed now nite everyone =;

Another place to go casting crumble undead could be in Mort'ton, as shades count as undead. You can use it inside the tombs, or even just by the temple to defend and earn sanctity, if you're into shade burning that is.

I know this might sound stupid but I use any chaos I get at barrows on dragons.

 

 

 

People say they have a good magic defence but I do just fine against them.

 

 

 

They have quite good drops and they are fairly good experience. There are chances of level 3 Clue Scrolls and then of course there are Dragon Hide and Bones.

 

 

 

Maybe try one of them?

you could try crumble undead on the Ankous(lvl 75,82,or 86) in the security stronghold. They seem to be very weak against the spell and they have some nice drops, including lots of addy arrows. The room with lvl 75's has a safespot, but if you want to use it, it really helps to use a full server. If the room has lots of melee trainers, they can stop other ankous from going around the safespot and attacking you. Probably not necessary if you bring armor and food.

 

 

 

Do chaos gauntlets work for crumble undead? If yes, stick to that spell.

Grab 1000 deaths, plenty of elemental runes and set your magic to ancients.

 

 

 

The area spells will rake up TONS of exp in Pest Control... and those runes will burn up VERY fast.

Unless a pure mage, do the ankous with a melee/mage double act.

 

 

 

They miss pretty often against rune or better armour, so hold them off/ kill on melee until they are non-aggressive, then take cover and let rip with the crumbles - great if you want to collect a sceptre piece.

everyday I buy 1k chaos. I melee at pest control with whip, rune plate and drag legs, then on those last 2 portals when there are like 20 monsters infront of portal I quickly put on mystic top, bottom an ancient staff. Serious serious xp!! I've caused over 1k damage in 30 seconds...

 

 

 

Not only do u cause mass damage in there, u can swing the result of the game by killin the spinners hidden. Get in the decent pc groups an u'll win a lot an then have pc points to spend on magic xp if u want.

Get a dozen antifire potions, and go shoot down some iron dragons. That's where I burn chaos runes.
