I don't get burnt often or easily, but I just got back from Panama City (raise your hands if you missed me here this past week!) and for the first time ever my LIP got sunburnt. And not just burnt a little, I had white blisters running across the bottom of my lip that KILLLLED and this morning I woke up and they're mostly gone but replaced with nice little cuts on my lips. My skin is so fair (fairly pale and sensitive) that I can burn in about 20 minutes in dirrect sun. When I asked my brother where the sunblock was, because I was late -as usual- he tossed me a bottle of after-sun. Bastard. After sun makes burns even worse, and on 3500 metres height, the cold makes you not feel burns. So I was enjoying my day of snwboarding in Italy, but that evening my face, my arms and my neck were completely burnt, second degree, that's bad. That's like hanging in a fire with your face for a dozen of seconds the medic told me afterwards. So I was burnt, badly, and I couldn't board anymore that week, but that's not all. My nose, the most fragile part on your face for burns, ached like hell and if you carefully look I still have little dots of pigment on it that are a result of that. I'm afraid I can't post a pic of those burns, since it was mainly my face, and that would definately break the rules. So, if you're rushing towards the snowfun, DON'T put on after-sun people.
