July 27, 200619 yr So I think I broke my leg. Last night, at Taekwondo, I was sparring a guy who was maybe 2 sizes bigger than me and thrice as heavy. I was tired as hell, and I lifted my leg to kick him. He raised his leg, and all I hear is a crunch. I shrug it off, and a second later, my left leg, I can't stand on it. My Sahbuhnim tells me to walk it off, and I do. After about 30 seconds I walk back in, score a point with it, and pain literally jolts through it. It still hurts today, and I think it's busted. I wouldn't mind crutches, I look like a hippy walking down stairs with it. And I get my Black Belt tomorrow night. Boooooo.

Trust me I have broken a lot of bones, when you hear a crunch it's probily broken.
July 27, 200619 yr If you could walk on it after 30 seconds, it definately isn't broken. I think at worst you will have a fracture but I can't really see you managing to walk on it even with a fracture. But get to hospital anyway and don't go to your grading. You could seriously hurt yourself. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
July 27, 200619 yr I'm not testing for it, Thank God. I'm recieving it, and the worst I'll have to do is walk up with with it.
July 27, 200619 yr I do Taekwon-do too :D Right now I can barely go down staircases because both of my legs hurt, though it's just muscular stress. It could be that in your case too, or, most likely, it could be something with your tendon, since it hurted because of a kick. Go see a doctor anyway. ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me

I hear a snap or crunch everytime I break a bone (if my not yelling swares out) so I think it might be fractured or broken. The first time I broke my foot I could still put weight on it and walk (sorta) but it hurt like h***. If you wait long enough it could start to heal wrong and then they would have to re-break to make it heal the correct way.
July 27, 200619 yr Grats on your black belt, I'm a first degree myself...Fun stuff while it lasted. It isn't broken if you've walked on it since it happened. You'd know it was broken if it were broken - There would be no "I think.." :P The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
July 27, 200619 yr It isn't broken if you've walked on it since it happened. You'd know it was broken if it were broken - There would be no "I think.." :P I wouldn't be so sure. My mate had a fracture in his leg during September playing rugby, which he thought was just bruising. He continued to play on it until January, where it just began to hurt too much to play. So off to the doctor's he went, who told him the fracture had occurred and healed itself during the time, but because of the pressure he had put on it (walking, running etc) it had fused really smeggily. He was in a cast for 2 months to correct a healed broken bone :XD: So yeah, go to a doctor/hospital just to be safe. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
July 27, 200619 yr It would definately be a good idea to get that checked out. Sounds like you may have a very serious problem.

July 28, 200619 yr Whats a sajbuhnum?? never heard that sensei or something? It's a taekwondo black belt between the 4th and 6th degree. ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me
July 28, 200619 yr Whats a sajbuhnum?? never heard that sensei or something? It's a taekwondo black belt between the 4th and 6th degree. That would explain why I, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do myself, had never heard the word used. I just thought it was prnounced differently than it looked, or something. My master was an 8th degree, I believe...Or 7th...We just called him "Master". July 28, 200619 yr Well, I fractured my finger once in highschool. And the only reason I ever got it checked out was because I evnetually couldn't bend it at all at the second nuckle.
July 28, 200619 yr My Dad broke his leg really bad once. He was on the roof of some building. Anyway, he walked to the side of the roof, climbed down the ladder, walked to his car, drove to the Hospital, and walked into the Hospital on his broken leg. He ended up having to get a metal plate put in his leg...
July 28, 200619 yr "Take some Motrin, and drink water." That's what every Navy HM says when anyone goes to them. Does it work? No, but if you believe in it, sure. HQ AND SPT BNBRIG CO.Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune.PFC/USMC/060310-Current
July 28, 200619 yr I just got back from the hospital at 11 P.M and I'm tired as hell. Turns out, I fractured it, and it'll be fractured until the doctor gives clear, which will be anytime in September. /cry

Turns out, I fractured it, and it'll be fractured until the doctor gives clear, which will be anytime in September. /cry :( Sorry to hear that. Look on the bright side, atleast it's not broken, you would be in a cast longer. I thought a fracture only takes 3-4 weeks to heal. Must be a bad fracture then. Do you have to be on cruches or do you have a walking cast?

July 28, 200619 yr I don't have a cast, and I have one crutch. If you know anything about my life and my physical fitness, it's you know I have no limits.
