PumpkinPete112
Has anyone seen this movie? I enjoyed it, its something original. Plus it is its own genre, Thriller, suspense, fairy tale. So lets talk about the movie! Sig
MyPurpleCrayon
I loved it, it has a much deeper meaning than people take it for. I hate all the horrible reviews it got. M. Night definitely deserves better. Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

No_OnE
Hmm... I saw the previews for this and didn't want to see it. Then I saw the reviews and figured my decision was right. Now I see this topic and I think I might just decide to see it now...
BenBru
I always wait to see what other people say when a "horror" film is rated PG-13. All the good scary movies I have seen are rated R. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it.

It isn't supposed to be a scary movie, and it is definitely not supposed to be a horror film. none of M. Night's movies were really considered horrors. Sixth Sense was the closest to a horror he got. but i abo[bleep]ely hated Lady in the Water. ONe of the worst movies i've seen. the storyline was terrible it was too predictable. it was like a bunch of random [cabbage] that he thought of and put it in some random story. i mean the lady in the water didn't even need to come out, it wouldn't have changed anything in the real world if she came or not. MyPurpleCrayon
Yea they really made that clear in the commercial. That's exactly what I'm saying. People think it's something that it's not, and they don't understand what M. Night is doing. Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so. People think it's something that it's not, and they don't understand what M. Night is doing. Well, one thing I can say is that I do like his movies, they have good story-lines. I might just go see this one because of his reputation. It's just, if they expect people to go see this movie, I don't under-stand why they would make it out to be a scary movie in the 'previews', yet it's not even close to that as you say. The only movie I can say had a slight problem with is Signs. Only because I don't like Mel Gibson. :-# Any-ways, as I said before, I might just go see this one based on his reputation, and see if I like it or not. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it. Yea they really made that clear in the commercial. Last time I saw the preview (about two minutes ago), it said "Lady in the Water" and then "A Bedtime Story." I was never told horror or even scary bedtime stories. Maybe you were though... it wouldn't have changed anything in the real world if she came or not. Except that Night's character wouldn't have been inspired to finish his book which ultimately changes the world. Did you miss that part?

How2PK
Better get her out of it then! ... Anyway, without 'joking' I doubt if I'll see this in cinema, as I don't really care that much for the guy's movies. Haven't seen THE VILLAGE either, but maybe I'll give it a shot when it's out on DVD. The trailer looked like E.T. BTW.
