Ogre Golf

A new minigame...... Ogre Golf! What better way to encourage more people to go to the Ogre area than with a large open field, and a set of bone clubs!

The games necklace would teleport you to the golf course. Or you could walk South from Castle Wars for a long time(Past Rantz)..

You can either play single player or with up to 3 other friends!

The ogre named "Golph" will introduce you with how to play.. You can purchase a golf bag that can go on your back, and be equipped in the cape slot. You can't manually take clubs out of your golf bag, however the clubs you own will be displayed sticking out of the back of it.

You start off with a wooden club. You earn points by playing the ogre golf, and you can cash in your points for other things such as "Golf hat" "Stone club" "Bone club" "Golf gloves", "Experience in certain skills", etc..

All the clubs will be in your golf bag like I explained earlier. It would be draped over your back and display your clubs sticking out.. When you click on the ball you can choose which golf club you want to use. Then it will show a small emote with you holding your club, and lining up the shot.

For each shot you take you will get a small ammount of strength experience.

There would be indicators on the screen showing how much power you are going to give it, the wind speed, and the direction the wind is blowing..

As you are trying to get your ball in the hole, there are several key aspects you need to be careful of! Sandtraps, lava pits, swamps, Ogres, other monsters?, etc..

Maybe a leprecaun caddy?

I think you'd wield the club you want, the click "hit ball". I don't think strength would be the benefit. I think it would be agility and ranging. These skills would also play a part in your accuracy and distance as you play.

Good idea. I like it.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize tht what you heard is not what I meant.

i don't get how u'd line up shots and powr. Clever idea i'll give ya that, but i personally think rl sports should be left to games dedicated to that purpose. ::'

medieval runescape>golf

Dwarven cannons, dragons, goblins, almost any creature in RuneScape, rune armor, magic, demons, epic quests to save the land > Medieval RuneScape

I think it'd be a fun idea. I'd definatly play it.... *Swings* FOOUUUUUUR! *Entire golf course gets knocked out*

.... Oops...

I have some ideas on what skills would effect this (give me credit please!)

Ranged-Accuracy in putting.

Strength-Driving off the tee.

Farming-Knowledge of the greens, like where spots are smooth and spots that will kill the balls movement.

Theiving-(1 player only) if you are playing npcs, you can steal their clubs! Steal their driver, They have to tee off with a putter!

Magic- New spells that effect you shot! Something to add backspin or something.

Construction-Ability to make custom flags to put in holes!

That's all I can think of... :-k

By the way! Golf was made by sheperds (sp?) that were bored and, to pass the time, would use their rods to hit peterified (sp?) sheep dung into rabbit holes. There is golf!

nice idea but how does it fit into the theme of a medieval wolrd?

The first recorded game of golf was in 1456. Although that isn't exactly medieval it doesn't really matter because RuneScape IS NOT MEDIEVAL. RuneScape is a fantasy game. Jagex has stated on several occations it's not realistic nor medieval.

I can guarantee dwarfs weren't building trains to underground goblin cities in the midieval times. I can also guarantee there was no magic or dragons too. Same goes for dwarf cannons.

However having a bone that you use to whack a ball into a hole seems MUCH more realistic.

Wonder what we'd do for golf carts though.. :?

Get some gnomes to carry you? Now THAT is an idea.
