1. [ Why this guide? ]

This guide helps you how to get a lot of Strength, Attack or Defence experience at dust devils. It's pretty easy and you don't have to bank. Basically you can camp at dust devils for 6 months, but it all depends on yourself and how many runes you brought with you. You can make the money back very easily, if you have some luck. But all rune arrow drops and runes, give you the cash also.

2. [ How should my inventory look like? ]

This is how my inventory looks like, after 350K+ defence experience.

[*:3t9rgkdq]Chisel - You gain a lot gems during killing dust devils, so I brought a chisel for cutting those. All you have to do is just cut the gem and drop it.

[*:3t9rgkdq]Water runes, Nature and Earth staff - I use these to get peaches from bones. Each spell uses 2 nature runes, 4 earth and 4 water runes. Take nature runes too so you can alch things that you get from dust devils like: Red dragon hide vambraces, rune spear, rune dagger, earth battle staff.

[*:3t9rgkdq]Bones - Always take a bone if you eat a peach, because if you collect them later you might not get full inventory.

3. [ What I need to camp there? ]

There are three prerequisites in order to kill dust devils.

65 Slayer, you need that for sure or else you can't kill them.

Access to Smokey well. You have to do some part of the Desert Treasure to get there. Here is a Desert Treasure quest guide: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=96

Bones to Peaches spell. Without Bones to Peaches spell, you have to go outside from the well and sell your noted food to shop and buy it back, annoying, isn't it? Bones to peaches spell helps you a lot, because dust devils drop bones. Bones to Peaches spell can be gained from Mage training Area. Read about it from here: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=mage_training_arena.htm Basically you can camp there with noted lobsters too, but you have to go outside the well to Pollnivneachs general store and sell them there. I find that abit boring and wastes time. But you can use both methods. If you don't want to waste runes to get bones to peaches spell, you can buy bones to peaches tablets from people. That can help you by having more inventory spot, as you can leave earth runes and also water runes to bank.

As i said in second title, take chisel, earth staff ( Lava mystic staff if you don't want to waste your fire runes what you get from dust devils ), also take water runes, take as many as you want. If you don't want to camp there long, I'll suggest taking 400 water runes and about 700 nature runes. I myself took 4000 water runes and 2500 nature runes, 500 are for alching.

This is how my weapon and armour inventory looks like:

armourwepinv0vx.png

You can take climbing boots, torag armour, verac armour, dragon armour or whatever you think is the best. Also if you go, remind that you have to have your arrow spot free because you get Rune arrows from these, and that how you keep a lot of inventory space.

Take 206 coins because shantay pass costs 5 coins and Carpet ride 200 coins. ( You need to clear out your weapon space to ride with carpet ). So the 1 coin holds the space coins space, because you get a lot of coins from dust devils.

4. [ What's good about camping there? ]

It's a great spot to train Attack, Strength or Defence experience, without leaving the spot. Also, dust devils are great fire/soul/chaos rune and rune arrow droppers. So you gain some profit besides for a great experience.

6. [ FAQ ]

Q: Can I use Guthan at dust devils?

A: I saw that some guy had a great tactic. He healed on Fire Elementals. Now you ask, how didn't he get a hit when he didn't wear a face mask? He healed on fire elemental with full guthan, after he killed, he put on his face mask. If you have a laggy or slow computer I don't recommend using this way.

Q: How can I get there?

A: map5cw.png

After going to desert, go to east, and you'll see a man, carpets near him. Talk to him and tell you wanna fly with the carpet. ( Your weapon space has to be empty ). Tell him that you want to take a trip to Pollnivneach. After you land on Pollnivneach go with the line and climb down the well.

Q: How much do peaches heal?

A: They heal 8 hit points.

Happy training and good luck at getting good drops from them.

alternatle for those who either havent earned the bones to peaches spell or have and have also lvl 67 con you can use bones to peaches (i make my own tablets \' )

i also dont find a chisil is worth losin a peach over

dust1.gif

also for anyone who's beaten fairytale part 1 and started the second you can take this path

(you do NOT need the farming and herb lvl to use the fairy rings)

dust2.gif

run to nardah, heal, bank the staff then carpet over to the cave, needs 100gp for the carpet and isnt as irritating as dealing with the shanty pass. healing at the temple in nardah also heals you 110%

my site(not much on it yet :p)

I have been there a while now, im on my 3rd day there now, covered about 18hrs total, and gained lots of combat exp and plenty of rune arrows, with over 500k in alched items, mainly earth battlestaffs.

1 thing i would say to people though is that i would highly recommend you dont use your staff when high alching, you are down there for such a long time it can get very tiresome and your eyes start to hurt from the wavey screen i have come very close to alching my whip on numerous occasions, so be carefull with that.

As for healing on guthans, i tend to follo them about and wait for them to die cause there is onl,y so long you will get away with it for if your down there long term.

Bones to peaches is in my opinion the best spell in the game if you enjoy slayer, it makes it so much easier its unreal, its a very hard spell to get due to the time spent getting it and the temptation of seeing you almost have enough points for infinity items but dont do it, you will never regret getting this spell.

On a sidenote has anyone ever seen a chain dropped from these, i have kind of given up hope of getting one now, but on the other hand it has taken me a long time to start losing interest and im starting to add up what i have got from this which adds up to quite alot.

You did forget to mention though that it may well be worth making sure you have a charged glory to tele out and bank as you do drop quite a few rannars and if you spend any time doing barrows or the like these will come in handy, i tend to wait untill i have 6 rannars then i bank which tends to be between 3 and 6 hrs, it only takes less than 5 minutes to bank and get back in place.

Also another tip, i tend to let the bones build up on the last couple of kills hopefully you will have a ugthanki kebab to help with this, then after your last kill drop some rannars or other items and pick as many bones up as you can then cast the peasches spell and drop them over the floor and pick up your items, this tends to make things alot easier for me.
