August 20, 200619 yr I've always been into watching little 12 year olds (although I should say that, I'm 13 :D ) watch baseball and play for glory, not money. So I wanted to start a general discussion for the week. I'm rooting for Portsmith, caues I'm from New England. Who are you guys rooting for.
August 20, 200619 yr I prefer to watch Major League Baseball games to a bunch of little kids...That commercial bugs me, the one where the two kids take their hat half-way off, to eachother. Major League Baseball is better in every way, unless you're a pedophile. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it.
August 20, 200619 yr hehe I know every kid on the portsmouth team personnaley. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."
August 21, 200619 yr Ok so i feel like bragging a bit, but. KYLE CARTER IS THE BEST LITTLE LEAGUER EVER Yeah just had to get that off my chest. Go Columbus Ga!
August 21, 200619 yr Author Portsmouth got absolutely smashed yesterday, 14-5, and that Staten Island team, man I feel bad for them, but they didn't have their heads in the game (walking off the field with only 2 outs.)
August 21, 200619 yr Off-Topic: Yay, a Red Sox fan! I still can't believe they've lost 4 in a row, I've watched every single game, it's been sad...Trade Beckett for some good relievers... On-Topic: I was cheering for Taitung. But, it was raining in Hong Kong, so they got knocked out. For American teams, I was cheering for my local team, but they got knocked out early. A few of my friend's were on the team. Then I started rooting for the best of five teams in my city, and they almost made it into the Massachusetts finals. But Everett beat them. After that, I waited until Peabody Western won the MA final, then I started cheering for them. Now that they're out, I'm cheering for NH. Japan's going to win it though... Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
August 21, 200619 yr I was just reading about the 6'8" tall 13 year old on one of the teams...That's the most interesting thing I've heard about it. Sports are teh lame. 6'8" at 13 is insane...I think I was 5'6" then. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
August 21, 200619 yr Ontop of that he weighs 268 pounds dry. He's freakishly abnormal for a 13 yr old. We have another Danny Almonte on our hands.
August 21, 200619 yr Author You're talking about the kid from Saudi Arabia? I saw him the other day, he's ginormous. And yesterday I saw some kid throw 81, the equivalent reaction time as 105 mph fastball from 60' 6''. Overaged?!?! P.S. I live in Connecticut, and as you may know, they have the regionals, so they are in Bristol, Connecticut and my friend went to a overnight baseball camp there, the first week of camp and the year after Danny Almonte played there. The Mid-Atlantic and New England regionals are played there and guess who's bunk bed he had. Yep, you can guess, he had Danny Almonte's bunk from the regionals. First person to sleep on it since Mr. Overage himself.
August 23, 200619 yr Japan and Venezuela are good teams, I think they will be facing each other in the international finals. The US finals im not too sure. Im liking the sound of Georgia and Oregon. Georgia has the kid that throws 80+ right? I couldn't believe he did that when I saw him pitch. 122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting
August 23, 200619 yr Go Lemont! (im from chicago, ok) Some of those little league plays would have been messed up by major leaguers :wall:

Trust me, they are terrible. I think Georgia versus Illinois. Becuase Georgia will pitch that kid and yes he pitched 81, the equivalent reaction time as a 105 MPH Fastball from 60'6'' away. Wow. And most of these kids pitch 70, they can hit a major league fastball from 60'6''
August 24, 200619 yr Author Didnt some guy drop an f bomb on t.v. yesterday and a manager slapped a kid? dunno, I was at my grandmother's house for the past couple days No ESPN or ESPN 2 :wall:
August 24, 200619 yr Didnt some guy drop an f bomb on t.v. yesterday and a manager slapped a kid?Yeah, they talked about it on PTI. I don't know what team it was but they needed 1 run and everybody in the dugout was like "yeah 1 run" and some kid went "yeah, 1 f'ing run." I'm cheering for Georgia naturally since I live in Georgia but after that 11 to 0 Mexico victory over Venezuela, it looks tough. This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.
August 24, 200619 yr Aw I wanted Whalley, Surrey from Canada to win. Tough Luck but oh well. RSN: Zammyftw ^^The girl that ruined music.

I wish I had saw that, or does someone have a soundclip they could find? Oh and great play just now, Japan's CF throws out a kid trying to go from 1st to home. Almost a homerun, but it was a wallball. Kid that got out didn't cry though, he was halfway down the line when the catcher had the ball blocking the plate, I would have taken the ejection and just railroaded him :D
