The Drinking Skill

Okay so drinking beers and feeling that the added levels don't last long enough or that the negative effects should be less

Well How about the drinking skill its sort of like the agility skill but instead the higher your drinking level the longer the effects last or the lower the negative effects are, and at certain levels you'll be able to drink 2 drinks (strength potion, wizard mind bomb, asgarnian ale) and get 2x the positive effects and the same amount of negative effects as usual. And you train it bye playing a drinking game of sorts, like at the barb village bar, Fally pub, and other places (higher your drinking level the different places you could go) and you would have to drink the right beer or potion to get a certain stat difference that the NPC would tell you to get, but their would be a chance that you get drunk from drinking too much beer in the game and would injure yourself (the higher your drinking level the less likely you'll get drunk with each passing drink. So like for every beer you drink you get a certain amount of experience and when you reach the right stat difference you get a certain amount of exp. Any suggestions or fixxes you notice?

Sorry if this has already been suggested

I think this is a good idea. I think it should probably have certain levels to drink certain booze, and have to buy it, but can raise anywhere. And monsters dont drop beer anymore ;)

I think the only reason that they have beer is just for the stat effects, and if Jagex is going to turn it into a skill, they already would have. Plus, there's all the liver cirrhosis and alcohol posioning to deal with...

There's no sig here. Move it along...

Drinking, eating and other bodily functions is not a skill. Well, if you're 2 years old, maybe, but once you've mastered the 12-ounce curl, then there's nothing else to learn.

I do not think that making this a skill is a good idea because doing so would encourage people to make their characters drink unnecessarily. That it is part of the game is ok, because it really is part of real life (and I'd rather see a child's avatar doing the drinking than see the child do it in real life).

Sorry, can't support this idea.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize tht what you heard is not what I meant.

Hey, I have an idea! Why not use release this with the smoking skill? Different kinds of leaves give you different bonuses like mary jane gives you +3 psychadelicness. Oooh ooh and a gambling skill too! Then let's encourage all the kids who play this game to not only do these things in game but in real life too!! [/sarcasm]

A better idea would be to have a quest where as you complete parts, alcohols, potions and food have slightly better effects. I think so anyway.

There are a lot of ugly things in runescape. People who play the game will not be stupid enough to think their skills will be upgraded by beer. You cant protect them all

Yeah but now I realize that Jagx won't take that risk of having even one kid doing something stupid like that

...as much as I love alcohol, and I do, I dont jagex needs to prmote alcoholism to 13 year olds anymore than they already have.

Its better to be judged by twelve, than to be carried by six.
