A107
not true there have been alot of platinum christian albums, the most notable one being Jars of Clay's self titled debut. it peaked at #34 on the charts and sold 3 million copies. The hit single of the album (Flood) was played on secular stations for a year and reached # 22 on the charts before it became known that they were a christian band. Hi. I'm not sure about the motives behind it dropping in the charts that you gave though, I couldn't find anything on that.

Parabola
Come to think of it, the most beautiful christian/catholic music (and indeed most beautiful music full stop) you'll likely ever hear is classical. Bach's music in particular is very religious, lutheran to be specific. Check out Bach's Mass in B Minor and Mozart's Requiem.
woopidoo2
Ive tried to listen to the album: Switchfoot- Oh, Gravity! I didnt like it, not the kind of rock I like. I have tried Jars of Clay - Redemption songs. Heard alot about it, and it is great music indeed 8-) I listened it while making homework. I dont know what the songs are called, I know the numbers of the songs though :) (3, 5, and I think 7 or 8.) Makes me feel relaxed, way different then other top 10 music.
