Pure Evolution...GOING RUNE PURE

Some of you may rember my pure - the account which is my name-sake. FuBai. The name litteraly translates as "corruption" from Mandarin - that is bribery and governmental corruption, not rotting decay. Not a bad name for a pure, as names go. The great thing about such a name is that it doesn't instanly say "Pure!" to everyone one who sees it - no matter how many bonespears and ham robes you wear, if your name is "Pur3 Str3n6th o0o" then people get very weary. So, I quite like that name.

 

 

 

I have been training Fubai for a while - some of you may remeber the semi-blog thread I had in the "Achievments" forum, but I stopped posting on that a while ago. In fact, my first "Fubai Honeymoon" lasted about a month to two months, during which I got 70 mage:

I then did something which later I thought was foolish, but looked like a good idea at the time. I trained melee and prayer :ohnoes: ... but I had good reasons - i kept losing to the dd(s) specs of melee pures, who seemed to have all the ownage and none of the slow and costly training. I thought I had made a mistake by the time I reached 65 strength, and I was unable to pk well at all in the wilderness, as my comparativley low stats meant there were people my level who were, indivdualy, much better than me in the skills I was trying to pk with. SO I stopped, and for 3 months abandonded my pure to F2P.

 

 

 

2 days ago this changed. I wanted to see if I could fix FuBai, make her a great pker once again. This is my blog to that goal.

 

 

 

As soon as I subscirbed her I went straight to pest control, and got training. In the past 2 days I have got 2 mage lvls (79-81) and 5 strength levels (65-70). I am 63 cb. SO i'm really not doing too bad. By the time i'm 70 cb, I should have well over 80 strength.

Yes, I got 3 def by a mistake. When I was staking in the "first Honeymoon" I managed to lag on to the wrong spec, and got 2 def levels in about 3 specs. Oh well, sh** happens. I will blog my stats gains, decent pks and anything I see that looks cool.

Thats a nice looking pure, but the melee doesn't ruin it, I would say 1-1-1 ruins it more.

today I had a driving lesson and I had to go pick up my suit so not massive progress. 82 mage at last:

No more mooching around green's for now :) Had a few fights - the number of pjing, tagging, and running noobs get annoying. Fought bloodcreeper1 3 times, every time owning him, eveny time he ran. Eventualy my mate V L Bl00d pk got him as he tried to eascape, leaving me open to some tagging by eata1 and i t a l y. Escaped, and nearly k0ed eata1 whilst i was at it. Why pj? Why tag? They are, or could be, decent pures - retain some honor and you may eventualy get into TLP.

Nice pure so far. You should get 5 def just for steel and it wont make that big of a diffrence in your combat :mrgreen:

This is my best pk so far on fubai. I walked into varrock wildy, and it was pretty empty. So I spotted a lvl 72 in full rockshell + d long and obby shield. Asked him to fight, walked up to lvl 9 wildy and he attacked me - so he skulled. I didnt even ask him to. bltiz blitz blitz spec, k0!! I didnt get pile pic because other pures started to log in, and i just ran for it:

I found out that you can't get more than 200 pts at a time. SO everytime I get 200 pts, I will spend them:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will hopefull be able to get another 100 pts and 78 str by the end of today, so I will update - but I am taking an understandable break for a couple of hours to take a walk.

 

 

 

EDIT: after that break, i got another 100 pc points:

I am 66 combat. If I get 1hp lvl and 2 str lvls (as seems likely if I keep going), I will be 80 str at 67 combat. I may start meeting fr33 tick3t in the wilderness :ohnoes:

A few pks from today - all off pures, although I did catch this one unawares are he was fletching in lvl 1 wildy :shock: - i didnt realise, just potted up and hit 2 really good specs and he had no chance to eat. O well, a ko is a ko:

This is one of my favourite Pks - I hopped worlds, saw her standing there, tbed, tangled speced 24,20,20,10,13,1,20,14 killed her. Didn't take damage.

 

 

 

 

Same kind of thing happened here, although there was much less of a challenge. His stats aren't great, (I atrum I is 83 range 85 mage i think), he died before he could run.

 

 

 

 

Another fun kill, where i didn't need my scimmy - I was standing on the level one side of the lvl1/2 border wilderness in edgy, when he attacked. He is a tank ranger. I ran to just outside of teh wilderness, potted, turned on pray, then went back for a fair fight. Well...I say fair, blitzed for a mighty 4...then 20,18-20,6. Dead. I always like free rune.

few more pks I got whilst messing around. So far I have lost 1 zammy staff, 100 bloods + nats, 1 dd(s) and 1 d scimmy scince i started this blog. As you can see...my death to kill ratio seems pretty good...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Same guy. Asked to fight me both time. First KO was 23,24 spec. Last one was 21,13, 22 (6 from poison).

 

 

 

 

 

 

This guy managed to KO himself on my ring of recoil. I hit 23 with scimy + 6 from poison. He speced me at the same time, hitting himself for a double 2. Koed. :P He was a tele tubbie as you can see. I sold him his blk hides and rune full helm back for 71k all together. Rangers aren't too cheap i suppose.
