Yung_Joc_XXX
On my new character I recently created, I did the Barbarian Stronghold thing to get the boots since that's like the coolest pair F2P can get. Anyway when I went into the Stronghold, I only had some iron and bronze arrows I picked up and 5K in coins from the first two floors (by the way I'm not a noob but I'm making a ranger so I thought what the heck). Anyway I got hit a 2 by a zombie and then a 6 by a spider to bring my health total down to 2. I thought with 6 health I could make it past some catablepons but unfortunately I didn't. Anyway to make a long story short I lost all 5K, my 3 bronze arrows I picked up, and like 125 iron arrows I picked up all vanished except for 3 and no I didn't get mixed up. I'm postive I had like 100 iron arrows and not 3. So aren't you supposed to keep your 3 best items because I lost everything basically. And I wasn't skulled. This happened to anyone else and more importantly, does anyone know a solution? subzerodragon
I think I know the solution. If you die you get to keep three items of the highest value. Since you had coins, bronze arrows, and iron arrows, iron arrows had the most value. The problem is that they see iron arrows as an individual item. So that's why you only got three iron arrows. dargonhuman
The three best items refers to all the individual items in your inventory, not the inventory spaces themselves. If you had 1 million gold coins on you plus a kebab, that would count as 1,000,001 items. If, heaven forbid, you should die with that in your inventory, you would keep the kebab and two gold coins (and be out 999,998gp...), our three coins and the kebab with Protect Item, assuming of course you weren't skulled. It's been this way since the early RSC days. Part of the Star Traks network. (^^Clicky!) Irony: An amnesiac rediscovering they have an eidetic memory. Doomster
The piles of 5k I've picked up there  The cautious way is to leave and bank each reward, restock food and then portal to the end of level, ladder down untill you get to the one you do next. Taking tele runes is optional - recommended if you don't know the route, as you you can end up backed into a corner, but going to fight, it's better to take 3 more food and keep the door close, though you can be hit as you go through (death piles inside the door area - yay!). imhomer
The same thing happens with all stackable items. If you die and all you have is 2 mil gold, you'll come back with 3 gold coins :?. Each stackable item like an arrow, gp, rune, etc. only counts as 1 item when you die.

Yung_Joc_XXX
Ok that makes sense. Maybe I should go to the rant sectioon because that doesn't seem like a very good rule or whatever you want to call it. I think RS should have set values for everything and if you die and have a wizard robe and 500K, you should keep the 500K because in there system the wizard robe could be worth like 100 GP. If that makes any sense.. Sugar Hill's Mining Delight Ore CompanyCheck It Out It's Owned By Mehttp://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=533779
