Nadril
So, what exactly do you have to gain by not eating for 48 hours?...

BlueLancer
Many people don't eat for a certain period of time to cleanse their mind spiritually, and it is often highly effective since if you just forget about your eating desires, it IS possible not to feel hungry; briefly. Also in the islamic religion during Ramadan (their holiday when they get presents etc), muslims would not eat during the time between the sunrise and sunset. Another thing it could do to you is making you very angry. :) 48 hours IMO is a needlessly long pursuit. Of course it can be done. And no, most likely you wont suffer any permanent damage from it. But it goes beyond the good taste of restraining from eating, but if you can really do it, it is a great way to improve your self-disclipine. Yeah, but I highly doubt lagnivator is doing this for that purpose  . why dont u ask david blaine why he did it? its a challenge!!!!!!!!! Rolling Eyes not jus sitting on rs all day I don't see much of a difference. Won't you just sit on rs all day, but hungry the whole time? And david blaine is a joke. He didn't do it for a chalange, he did it for publicity. (Which is much the same reason you are).
BlueLancer
Err.. I did some research on this, and it seems David Blaine spent 44 days without food in a transparent box. :? That's simply astonishing and no matter what his motives, I had previously thought that even 18 days is impossible. But wow... At least I guess he HAD to *drink* something?! BlueLancer
Google search + http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Blaine living in a transparent box for 44 days without food On September 5, 2003, Blaine began his 44-day endurance stunt sealed inside a transparent Plexiglas case suspended 30 feet (9 m) in the air over Potters Fields Park on the south bank of the River Thames in London. The case, measuring 7ft by 7ft by 3ft (2.1 x 2.1 x 0.9 m), had a webcam installed so that viewers could observe his progress. The stunt became the subject of much press and media attention, due to a raucous minority who were mischievous or outright hostile to Blaine's presence. A gaunt Blaine emerged on schedule on October 19, murmuring "I love you all!" and was quickly hospitalized. Blaine claimed to have lost 54 pounds (24.5 kg) during his fast. Bubsa
He was fed nutrition through a tube. Don't you remember? It was here in good old England! People put burgers on radio controlled helicopters and stuff. I love our humour sometimes. Serves him right for being an attention seeking phoney. Although, when some people pelted his box with rocks, that was too far (chavs). This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Anesthesia
why dont u ask david blaine why he did it? its a challenge!!!!!!!!! For money & publicity. Where are you getting this from? It sounds fairly impossible.. It's possible to go for well over a month without food, look at the example of the 1981 Irish hunger strike, particularly Kieran Doherty who went 73 days without food - without any preparation I might add. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

How2PK
That David Blaine sounds like an incredibly annoying figure. Everytime I read something about him he's in the middle of a lot of people, in a transparant box, going beyond some kind of limit. But he's always cheating. Oh, not eating for 48 hours seems pretty pointless. You'll start eating the next day anyway. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Antrune
You'll feel bloody rough. And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid. John Lewis is a great, great shop.
cadburys_egg
Do not feed the troll. Anyway, any particular reason you are doing this? Or is it just for a conversation point? Great, I did 36 hours no eating for charity. not jus sitting on rs all day You probably will. You'll be hungry, which will make you more tired which means you probably won't want to go out and do some sports. Chances are you'll want something to take your mind off of any stomach pains aswell, lounging around will probably be your outcome.
Vape
Are you underweight? If so, do not attempt this. In Australia we have something called the 40 hour famine, where you don't eat for 40 hours and people sponsor you to raise money for a charity - to make people understand what it's like being hungry all the time, so yeah, if you're of a healthy weight, there's no problem with it really. Where the bloody hell are you?
darkmage099
Wow, all I can say is SPAM!. What are you trying to prove? It's nothing special and this is a pointless thread. It's not like you're going to prove anything. So far no one has given you a purely positive response. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar! Seahawk10490
David blane did it because hes a nerd. A being an illusionist and an attentionist is how he gets off. Its all a publicity stunt, its just like Chris Angel...Remeber they do magic tricks lol Its better to be judged by twelve, than to be carried by six. Mr_Putter
There's nothing wrong with attempting feats, no matter how pointless or bizarre. And I don't see why other people care so much about someone else doing something. I once went 24 hours without going to the bathroom (1 or 2). That was, sadly, once of my grandest feats.
