eyehawk78
I really hope Richard Hammond gets well soon, he seem like a great bloke and top gear would never be the same without him. Celluzion
Ah, Top Gear, one of my favourite shows. I never heard about Richard Hammond's condition until now. He was great on Top Gear, although I have to say I find Clarkson the funniest of the three. He's still got on-screen charisma. I hope he pulls through and my condolences go out to his family and friends. When he makes it through(I'm sure he will), I'm gonna bet Clarkson and May are gonna give him hell for that. (Btw, RSers here, did you notice at Varrock Church, there's a guy called "Jeremy Clerksin" sitting on one of the benches. Coincidence? I think not.) Known formerly as Ameoba3000. Now known as Vigoss. Pete_the_Viscous
This is pretty tactless, but today I went book shopping, to see if I could find the set texts cheaper in charity shops, and on the shelf I saw a book: "Richard Hammond, What Not to Drive", and reflected on how ironic that was. I hope he does make a good recovery. I actually quite liked him on Top Gear, for one thing because he was a necessary part of that trio (in that without him there would be fewer jokes at his expense). deviantart account

At least, I think that.
Iantiger
I only just found out about this today. I can't really believe it - I guess I haven't really watched the news for a couple of weeks so it's no surprise I didn't know. Anyway, I wish him well and my mate told me this morning that apparently he's up and walking around, which is remarkable considering when the accident happened, the doctor's were predicting fatality. Get well soon Rich, mate. ~Ian Retired Tip It Moderator | Zybez Radio DJ - Listen Here

cadburys_egg
Jeremy clarkson has said to the press that hammond walked yesterday, so its looking good for a recovery. He's making a very good and quick recovery. :) Crashing at ~300mph and he spends a few days in hospital and is already walking. If he can come out with a recovery like that it shows how fast the doctors etc on site reacted and how good the safety in the car was.
Bubsa
As a Top Gear nut, I have to say I was devastated to hear of Hamster's plight, despite putting his face on every TV show on the Earth. Fantastic to hear he's recovering as quick as he crashed! He's a great presenter, a good TV personality, and I wish him all the best. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you. PURESMITHER
Top Gear is the best show in British Television becuase its the only decent comedy show around at the moment, and of course it has the best three presenters in the world! \ I'm gonna watch tommorow night, but the best three presenters will not be the same as the best two. :( Proud Legionairre of the 10th Legion of Kandarin.Search for "The 10th Legion of Kandarin" on RSOF to join a small, friendly clan!270 Quest Points and countingRemember - In the gene pool, there is no life guard. :PYou're not getting my point. Anesthesia
Tomorrow night? Do you mean a repeat? I was under the impression that seires 8 had ended and they'd be off for a while, or is there a new one? Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be. I was under the impression that seires 8 had ended and they'd be off for a while, or is there a new one? They are showing the Best Bits I believe. Fantastic to hear that he has been walking. Good on yer chap, we'll be giving you hell for that crash sooner than we thought! On a side-note, I sincerely [garden tool][pe that this doesn't change the way programmes like Top Gear are presented or run. There is talk of reducnig the danger levels of stunts that presenters perform. This in my opinion would destrot Top Gear 99/99 Fletching, 99/99 Cooking, 96/99 Strength
