frogspoons
My heart goes out to his family. He is a great guy, Top Gear wouldn't be the same without him  CANE Just to be different. Think about it. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight. Biabf
He is by far the best on that show, I really hope he pulls through. He was one of the best BBC presenters... Brainiac was great too. He's too young to die. I hope this wont effect this career but the news report says he received injuries to his head, doesn't sound too good. They also pointed out instead of flying him to a normal A&E hospital they flew him to a hospital that is good at treating critical head injuries. Potter_Pkr
I hope Richard Hammond pulls through. When I heard the news, I was deeply shocked. I do not want him to leave. One of the best presenters on TV at the moment. He does not deserve to die. assassin_696
My thoughts are with his family and friends, he co-presented probably the best program on TV, it wouldn't be the same without him. I really hope he pulls through. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
Adamskii
I also hope he makes a swift recovery, he is lucky to be alive, crashing at near 300mph. I am surpirsed he wasn't instantly killed.
Mercifull
The BBC say that his condition is improving but its still very critical. I think he's a great presenter and one of the best on TV atm. Brainiac and Top Gear are amongst my favourite TV shows. :( Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. issy2
I heard (probably exaggreated) the 'jet-powered-car' was travelling at 300 mph. I really hope he pulls through; he is a great guy and he does not deserve to die. He is the life and soul of Top Gear, god knows what will happen to the show if he doesn't. But then again, think of everyone out there dying right now. So many people die every minute, of hunger, thirst, accidents. Richard Hammond may be a funny, intelligent, exciting celebrity, but he's not the only one. Remember them.

Anesthesia
Damn. And it happend to the only Top Gear host who's actually likeable. I hope he gets well. I think the exact opposite. I think he's only still got a place on the show because of comedy value, and I think he is poor on Brainiac. Too much of a 'lowest common denominator' presenter. Clarkson and May are what get me to watch the show. That said, I can't think of someone else I'd want in his place - someone like that is necessary for balance. I once emailed the BBC asking if he was related to the BBC weather presenter John Hammond - they look quite similar. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be. Hobgoblin11
His condition is now apparently serious but stable. It is unlikely he will make a full recovery after such a massive crash, most people that crash when trying to break a speed record die. He will most likely have some form of spinal problem or brain damage to some degree. However, only time will tell. 99/99 Fletching, 99/99 Cooking, 96/99 Strength

mattbrandon
I'm sure you'll all agree he is a great bloke, and lucky to be alive. The roll bar apparently saved his life, gave him a protective layer as such, and stopped him taking the full impact of the crash. Really hope he presents again as he is high up on my brownie points list. I love TG and Braniac and would sorely miss him if he went. one time i woke up sleeping under my bed with a jello and a spoon lol :ohnoes:
Hobgoblin11
Just seen the 6 O'Clock news, they said that he is still in a serious condition, he has shown signsof improvement today, but he does have a significant brain injury. They also say that they are reasonably confident that he should make a good recovery. Hopefully this means he is out of the woods to some extent, but to what degree he will recover remains to be seen. Hopefully he can get back to working on Top Gear, and Jeremy Clarkson and James May can rip the hell out of him for doing it! 99/99 Fletching, 99/99 Cooking, 96/99 Strength
