terley
theres been a lot of plp wondering how to make pixel sigs so here u goo. pixel sigs.... people know the definition as a picture made totally of pixels for beginners first draw out on paper wat u want it to look like, and then try and copy it on ms paint (everyones got it).. if u think thats too hard u can always scan it in and draw over the picture in paint by copying it over, while in paint you can edit or change anything about your picture. and about shading id first wait untill uve finished colouring everything and then figure out were u want the light source to be and try and imagine would happen to each person then once ur totally happy save it as a bmp so u can always edit it and then save it as a png. If u want to add anything else like glows and text copy it over to adobe photoshop (or paint shop pro, ive neva used) and then add anything u want, once ur happy u can then save it a final time. a good site to host ur picture is http://www.imageshack.us , you just browse for your picture, press host and then copy the top text into ur message on this site. or if you want it as a sig just copy it over to your profile. oh and btw the size limitations are 300 width by 150 height, keep by this rule or your sig will be removed by the mods.. unknownmasterofnothing
you shade manually, pick a light source and shade accordingly.
Eric13
When your making pixel signatures you usually shade, and create in paint.

To shade you just go from light to dark. It's that simple. Pick a light source and then shade in how it would look on the object.

Ryan
you shade manually, pick a light source and shade accordingly. im not quite getting u I just told you how. If the sun is coming from the left, then the armor will be a light shade of silver on teh left and a very dark shade on the right. It's as simple as that. So a rock would look like this: Light Grey -> Medium grey -> Dark Grey With more shades inbetween.

misterxman
Nice guide, but you should also include that scanning a drawing isn't required, just optional (as some people don't have scanners or are too lazy to scan like me lol). Hmm you should pixelize that dinosaur in ur sig. Dude you read my mind! I was just thinking about that earlier today when I remembered how I pixeled a ferrari for someone else as a pixel sig. If I have time next weekend I'll give it a try, perhaps make it animate so it goes back and forth between pencil and pixel. :) Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
terley
lol ty for ur posts, i cant believe anyone replied lol.. The thing is I used a camera because my scanners bust and I was soo pleased with how the picture came together on paper. normally id just look at the drawing and plan were averything goes on paint and basically after a while it starts building up as a final pic. :D I hope this tutorial helps more plp become better pixelers. and remember everyone no gore :P

jak722
I need to fix my damn scanner... won't work cuz of the service pack updates from Microsoft... Nice tut! In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.

Never save it as a jpeg, it ruins the quality like it did there. Png or gif are the best formats for saving filewise and qualitywise, as far as I've seen. :) Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
Lil_Flip
I have a scanner. How do you scan it, and copy over it? Because I can draw pretty good in real life but can't seem to do good in pixeling. I have photoshop, if that helps.
