By written test, you mean an online test?

Not exactly convenient for any potentials to hop on a plane to Cambridge, England

But I agree they have chosen very poorly in alot of cases. I am actually insulted when I see lv 60 pmods walking round who have probably been playing a couple of months, and they think they know better than I do about the rules and security of RuneScape!

I like this idea... I've seen way too many p-mods that really don't know squat about Runescape. They just act all nice and good so they can get a silver crown by their name.

Ahh..That's what you might think. There are many criteries (sp?) Jagex chooses mods after..Acting nice and reporting is only main thing...If you're nice to others, help others, report properly, know at least something about RuneScape - Jagex staff will only start checking you.. Trust me..Rest is confidential information ;] :notalk:

I dont understand how they know if someones being nice to others, helping others and contributing to the forums. Forums it's hard to be noticed with the countless topics going and going. And how do they know your helping someone or being nice, unless theres a jmod there.

Anywho. I still think that they should have to complete a written test to help wrap things up and come to a conclusion.

I know that everythins confidentional. I've tried squizing info out of Ashmad before :P Nothin from him.

I've been interested in the whole player moderator/selection thing lately

Player moderators do NOT need to have knowledge about everything RuneScape. They are not walking around to help you on quests. They are only there to report trouble makers that they see. They do NOT need to help you at all..

In fact they are within their right to tell you to screw off if you need help with a quest. :boohoo:

I want my mods to know what they're doing personally. I saw a lvl 59 mod today, what has he done that I havn't?

I dont think you should have to know the history of runescape, other than the 3 gods. Besides anyone can BS there way through the test.

Its better to be judged by twelve, than to be carried by six.

If you don't know... every mod have to go through a three-moths learning period where they get trained by far more experienced ones...
