Seriously, st. Anger, sheesh. I agree with adam, and i too am against censorship, but tip.it is a site where around 20% of the people are below 13. So, he is right.

 

 

 

As for team speak, i think it's a great idea, and that if you can run it through the scripting to get passwords up and running then it would work better.

Such a channel will not be endorsed by Tip.it at this time. It would require too much moderating power to be able to follow our rules. The potential mass of individual users would make it virtually impossible to handle.

Hmm Team speak. I'm not against this chat service at all, though it does have its problems in keeping it running and out of trouble :) nothing much different from running irc.

 

 

 

I did run one for tip.it a long time ago but did not have the staff to cover it for 24/7 and so i had to close it down. However that was back when we had very few staff here.

 

 

 

Now i'm not jumping on anyone toes here i hope. and the suggestion and idea is a good one and would like to see it continue. However if it is run outside of our staff team then we can not make this a officail one for tip.it. For a number of reasons i could go into but it be a long list.

 

 

 

You have a few choices ,

 

You can either use the one of who ever runs one. (which is fine by me as long as its unoffical)

 

Or

 

Prove to us Admins here that it be worth our time and money to look into getting teamspeak for you.

 

Or

 

If you wish to run a teamspeak server for tip.it offically then i suggest you come and talk to us directly (private message on the board) and we see if we can sort something out between us.

Typing is of course much slower than talking, and people might need thing done/sold as fast as they possibly can, so think about it, instant quest support via voice chat, and if you do not have a microphone you could send text messages to channels.

 

 

 

 

 

Also, following the moderation subject, I could hand pick a few people to moderate with me, in which case I will be watching over everything that goes on inside this server.

Whoot! Teamspeak for RS, The clan i'm in for a pc game uses TS so i'm used to it. This will help if your stuck on a quest or something like that,Or you just want to chat.Also If you wanted to make it alittle bit saffer you could always make a server where you need a password

Now I know why I was thinking of a "shoot-on-sight" method to the whole "Tip.It Team Area Network System" ("TITANS") thing. Maybe give a second chance in rare situations. But other than that, you use foul language or verbally and personally attack another person with full intent to do so, then you get banned forever from "TITANS"... =;
