Well the NHL season started :XD: well it started on the 4th i believe but i wasn't here.

 

 

 

Anyways, anyone have any comments/questions/outlooks on what's gonna happen this year? For me, Colorado FTW \ :XD:

 

 

 

Everyone here is cheering for Oilers [mostly because they almost won last year and because i live in Alberta]. Personally, im not fond of them.

I dont watch American football but one of my friend does. He's a Seahawk fan, and went to Chicago to see them play (last weekend I think) to see them get owned like 6-36. :lol:

I'm definately an Oilers fan. They really overcame the odds last year. They went to coming into the playoffs at 8th seed to going into game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: . I have to admit, I thought the Sens were going to win it all.

 

 

 

This year, they lost Pronger and some other key players, but they did gain some good players such as Joffrey Lupul. Wait 20 games and we'll see how good everyone is

Erm...Yeah Nick...NHL stands for National Hockey League...I'm just hoping for improvement in both the Penguins and the Bruins. The Ducks should be good too...

Colorado's doing okay, 1-2 so far. My cuzin thinks the blue jackets are going atw..i didnt even notice them lmfao. Colorado made some bad trades tho like abeiscer [thats spelled wrong i know] for theodore from the montreal canadiens.

Leaf's Raycroft will pwn. =;

Raycroft stunk last year, good move by the Bruins to trade him...Besides, Toivenon (Sp?) and Thomas are way better. Bruins look good, 1-1, although they got killed by the Panthers. But hey, they beat one of the toughest offenses in hockey. The Pens look better this year than last year.

Bear in mind Raycroft was playing injured last year, and has played stellar thusfar in the new season.

 

 

 

I'm a Leafs fan, I'm not ashamed to admit it :D Although to be honest, I'm more of a single player fan than a team fan - I like to see players like Spezza, Tucker, and Crosby excel more than I like to see teams excel.

After doing so well last year, I expected a good start, but maybe the loss of Chara was too big...Toivonen better turn out good...

aww this is dumb, i just looked at the schedule and colorado doesnt play till the 14th =(. But thats when they play against the Oilers :XD: . I'm so excited about that game because everyone here :3> 's the Oilers team...Colorado's gonna pwn them tho.

I'd rather have this Gaara one in it actually. haha its funny, because the Oilers lost the playoff finals \ . The avalanches lost against the ducks so they didnt get very far, but im a fan of the ducks as well and i dont mind.

They can't do much worse.

 

 

 

And to add to some other thoughts:

 

 

 

- Sens have no drive. They never pick it up for playoffs.

 

 

 

- Aebischer for Theodore was a steal. Colorado's main issue is their salary hit from bonuses (~4M) on Sakic and Blake.

 

Konowalchuk's retiring will make room for them to purchase a decent guy, should someone pop into the market.

 

 

 

- Both new logo's are horrible and their artist's deserve to be quartered.

Aebischer for Theodore was a horrible trade, and Anheim's logos arent THAT bad..a ducks foot fits in well.

Personally, i'd rather trade my average damaged goods for damaged goods that were once elite.

 

 

 

Either way, i'm sure we'll quickly find out if the trade was a deal or not in the coming months.

I like-ish the new Anaheim logo. But not the new name, now the movie won't make much sense. The Penguins are off to a great start, Crosby and Fleury are two of the best young players in the game. The Bruins have a game tonight, but I'm looking forward to the home opener. Let's go Bruins! Roar!

The Canucks looked strong going into the Colorado game and but Luongo was terrible during the shoot-outs but still Canucks ftw!
