to all who have never herd it... it sounds nothing like the current slipknot, as it is very expirimental.

hell yeah its a great album, its gotta be the only album ive heard that has a musical flavour rangeing from death metal to funk.

Anyone heard of Mushroomhead? I believe its almost identical to Slipknot, just not nearly as popular. Just throwing this out there..

I've of them, alot of people claim that mushroomhead had the masks before them. I think SlipKnoT masks are much better then theirs and there music is much better, there ok

and "The Residents" had masks before ANYONE!!!!! it doesnt really matter much as slipknot wears masks in tribute to Mr. Bungle.

Yeah, I'm really getting into Stone Sour too. I'm off to see them live in Manchester next week. I prefere them to slipknot mainly because their music involved less shouting and more singing.

The drummer is pretty good, but the music itself is horrible IMO, it's just one loud powerchord/scream after the other.

IMO the drummer is only strong link in the band.

I think they are bit too much into show. Yes, it's nice if you look like hc deathmetallist, but that really doesn't help in albums, right? I mean, they have a separate band member to play DJ set maybe for 10 seconds in 5 songs. Not very compact band IMO.

 

 

 

Their music is nothing special to me. In my ears it makes no difference with other metal bands (GRAAAH *guitarsguitars* GRAAAH *guitarsguitars, guitarsolo* BLOOOD AND DEAAAAATHH *keyboards* GRAAAH *drum solo* ) so I don't see why this band should be my next favourite band from now on. What makes it better?

 

 

 

And IMO bands use masks to cover their unskillfulness in music (Kiss, lordi, slipKnot). I think that it's the masks that make people idolize this band (this is just my opinion) and after that the 'music' (if you can call it such) comes in.

you really don't need to flame me, these are my opinions and I'm tired to quarrel about opinions.

I cant stand the ear-raping. My friend likes them, I just cant stand all these tryhard/core bands. They take themselves too seriously, plus the masks are just [developmentally delayed]ed and only used so they can try have something unique about them. Kids, dont hide your lack of musical talent behind gimmicks (lawl i swear n wear masks n hav lotz of band membars so im hardcore!).

only old stuff, they're 2 overrated. they play with 9 dudes and they still dont sound 2 fantastic. i prefer nile, hail karl sanders!!!!!

They're metal, just an extremely washed-down mainstream form of it.
