Certainly! Took me about two weeks to go from 80-99 so I'd definitely say you could do it. Pyramid Plunder is incredibly fast xp. And thank you! I got 85 earlier today but forgot to post :oops:

Reasonable? I would say so. If I remember correctly, she got from 81-85 in one day. I am sure you can get it in a month.

Well right now I'm just going for 83 hunter (slowly). Once that's taken care of, I'll decide where to go from there :wink: But generally speaking, I'll be keeping some of my chins for 80 range. The rest I will sell and use the funds for more seeds for farming.

I have yet another question for you, Hunter has been enjoyable and all, but I found out that I am really bored when I hunt. I also found out that it is one of the "Least Admireable Skill Capes." With that being said, I feel that it is time to forget 99 Hunter... for now. I want to go after something more challenging and not so out of the whole RuneScape world. I don't like not seeing a person for 10 days on end.

 

 

 

So, here is my question. I have about 10 million from chins that I can sell soon enough. What is your favorite skill/cape that is buyable. I am asking you because you have been through most of the experiences. I want my first 99 to be honorable and the cape to look nice and cool. So, I am trying to decide between a lot of skills, all of which are very expensive and honorable. Prayer, Construction, Farming, and maybe even Crafting.

 

 

 

From those choices, which do you think would be a good choice. Keep in mind the cape, the emote, how honorable it is, and how boring it can become. I know that 10 mill won't buy me any of these, so I will runecraft all the money I need. I always liked Runecrafting anyways. If you have another honorable cape that you would like more that I didn't mention, please tell me!

Sorry to hear that hunter has gotten boring :( But I know what you mean. I'll give you a little "low-down" on each of the skills you listed, what I think about them, what I think others think about them, etc.:

 

 

 

Prayer: Generally speaking, it's not too difficult of a skill. It is somewhat expensive, but also very common (mostly because people want 126 combat). From what I've noticed, most people prefer the prayer emote (and sometimes cape) over others. But it is commonly seen on a daily basis (at least in my experience), though mostly worn by level 120+'s.

 

 

 

Construction: Construction itself is a very easy skill. Planks are usually easy to purchase, you get upwards of 150k xp an hour, all that good stuff. If you choose to get 99 construction, you'll spend like 90% of that time runecrafting or making gp however you choose to do so. So most people would consider that pretty boring. If you choose this, I'd recommend doing it one level (or a couple levels) at a time, to keep you from getting bored. Like make enough gp to get from 80-85, then get those levels. Then once you get into the 90s, make enough gp for one level, then get the level. That way you're constantly alternating between runecrafting and construction, so it's not that bad. Seeing as how you have to make ~100m to get 99, it's a very challenging one to start off with. If you're up for it, go for it! Just know how difficult it will be before you barrel in. And be prepared to be stopped in your tracks by countless users asking to see the emote.

 

 

 

Farming: In the end, I think it costs the same as construction if you use high level tree/fruit tree seeds. But there is one major difference: farming forces you to pace yourself. For construction you could be pressured to make 10m a day so you can use up 25k planks the day after. But with farming, there's a maximum amount of gp you can spend per day to train the skill. It spaces it out over the course of a few months for you. So making "x" amount of nats per day isn't the problem, it's having the patience to stick with this skill for several months. I love both the cape and emote and it's certainly an impressive first 99 to achieve.

 

 

 

Crafting: This is actually one of the easier buyable skills these days, and certainly the easiest of the ones you've listed. It costs very little gp (from where I am now, level 84, it will cost me less than 10m to get 99) and is a very fast skill. While it's still pretty impressive, it's not the most impressive. This might be a good skill to start out with if you're not ready for a big challenge. Besides, assuming you'll be using hides, your magic level will probably be up in the 90s by the time you're done and you'll easily be able to continue on to 99 magic.

 

 

 

Meh, anyway, hope that helps somewhat. I didn't give my exact opinion on which one I think you should get, as I usually don't like doing that. My opinion would be no good to you because we're completely different people.. and I have 91+ runecrafting, which makes it a heck of a lot easier :-w

Thanks for the awesome explanations. I sort of believe I will either go for 99 Construction or Farming. Both will be hard to complete. Construction has always been one of those skills I have adored along with Farming, so this is really tough. Like you said, I think I will be pressured in Construction to get levels faster. That's not always a good thing, because when school comes around, I will be a lot more busy. Farming will be hard to stick with day after day due to how long it may take. This is a tought decision. :)

 

Construction is something I would really want as a 99. The problem is, I don't know if I will be able to pull it off. I think I will need to think about this one. :XD:

Thanks for reassuring me that Theiving will be easy (but the last easy non-buyably for me :cry: ) but I have a few questions now that I think about it:

 

 

 

First, should I just use Dork's method? I've done it in the past and got pretty quick xp (for the 50s at least)

 

 

 

Second, how often should I bank?

 

 

 

Third, what should I keep?

 

 

 

Fourth, should I do the Contact quest? I hear that you get to do some beheebejeebies and get access to something but you can no longer go crazy without the permission of some npc (ya, I really don't know)

 

 

 

I only asked the last three because Swamp got 99 theiving by banking every run (via c wars and spectre) and said he made millions by selling loot to that one guy.

In that case, your best (and probably only) option would be prayer potions :) It usually takes a while to gather all the ingredients, since there's a huge demand for ranarrs, but you'll lose the least amount of gp doing this.

Yep, I'd recommend Dork's method at Pyramid Plunder.ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâà You usually get 100k - 200k xp per hour.

 

 

 

I would bank whenever you run out of food/anti poisons.ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâà At least that's what I did and it works nicely for getting a decent amount of xp per hour.ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâà If you bank too often, it slows you down a lot.

 

 

 

I only kept the gold items, and only if/when I had space in my inventory. And make gold statues your priority (i.e. if you get a gold statue and are out of space, drop one of the other items like a gold scarab and take the statue in its place).

 

 

 

As for the Contact quest, I have no idea what you're talking about :uhh: Chances are that I didn't do it (I'm not a quest person), so I don't know.

 

 

 

It is true that you could make a couple million gp if you collected all the gold items you receive, but that would slow you down immensely.ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâà My priority is always experience over gp.ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâà I'd rather do it the quickest way possible rather than doing it the slow way but getting more gp in the process. But it's up to you.

Alright :P It's official, I'm a 'regular' on your blog now. I understand that you'd want 99 hunter, but I'm still confused on why you'd want 99 farming. If I attempted it my patience would go short before I got to level 40 :shock: .
