Hmm.. Rare Random Event?

Featured Replies

Well, I was picking flax and some white dude comes out of nowhere and asks me to come with him, i thought it was the grave digger but it was a beehive man. Now i go there and have no clue what to do i check the random event guides and theres nothing on him and it says to make a beehive or something and like assemble it. I had no clue on what to do so i just did stuff and click this button and i guess the beehive wasnt finished and some bee's game and it says i jump into the water and i end up in the river by catherby.

I'm sure someone knows of this. Im mad cause IO think I might have missed out on some awesome stuff, but probably not :-k

Ya it's not listed in the tip.it guide for some reason but it's on the Runescape Knowledge Base:

The Beekeeper (Members only)

The flax fields south of the Seers' Village is a popular haunt for the many fletchers in RuneScape, but who has paused to spare a thought for the beekeepers in the next field over, whose hives are constantly in need of repair?

Sometimes, while working the flax field, you may find yourself approached by one of these white-clad gents. Their hives are notoriously difficult to assemble, so they occasionally need to enlist the help of an adventurer.

Your task is to assemble a beehive from its four parts. To do so, click on a section to stop it spinning. Then maneouvre it into position over the four segments in the screen by using the arrows at the bottom of the screen. When you've positioned a piece, move onto another and do the same until the beehive is complete. When you select another piece, the last segment you moved will start spinning again: don't worry, that's just what beehive parts do.

Once you have all the pieces in the correct places, hit the switch at the bottom of the screen to assemble it. If you've done it correctly, you'll be given some flax for your efforts and returned to where you were.

If you fail to assemble it correctly, though, the bees will escape and wreak a terrible revenge upon you! You will be forced to flee to a random body of water to escape their stings.

I've heard it was quite common at the flax field from one of my low level friends who was getting flax for me. I had to help him over White Wolf mountain 3 times in half an hour because he always lost to that random event.

No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

The addition of this new random was mentioned some time ago, in the June Behind the Scenes news item:

A new random event will also be released this month. One of the Camelot beekeepers has a problem. His old beehives have stood around for a long time and they are starting to fall apart. Help him to reassemble the beehives before you get stung and have to dive into a stream to escape the angry swarm! Bee careful not to get stung...

However, this was only in the Behind the Scenes news item, and Jagex only mentioned it again in the July 5th Trouble Brewing update:

We've also released a new random event this month. One of the Camelot beekeepers has a problem - his old beehives have stood around for a long time and they are starting to fall apart. Help him to reassemble the beehives, before you get stung and have to dive into a stream to escape the angry swarm! Bee careful not to get stung...

It's not in our Random Events guide because none of the Crew has actually HAD the event, and none of our users has submitted any pictures or good information about the event. So if anyone gets the event, please take a picture and submit it to us for inclusion in the guide.

The picture, as well as any additional information (like what does the beekeeper say when he first talks to you???) can be posted on the Website Updates & Corrections Board, in this topic:

I was picking flax elsware than by the bee hives and I got this, and he still said "you see my beehives next door"

I haven't had that event yet.. probably because I don't pick my own flax.

I always have trouble with the event where you line up icons.. something with a pirate and treasure.. it annoys me that I can't understand what he is saying..
