Best P2P Armour

ThreeRivers1

Recommended Posts

Hi. I know this question would have been asked a gazillion times before, but try as I might, I can't find a similar topic in the forums (many different searches attempted)...

:?: I need to know the best armour you can wear in P2P please? And as an afterthought, please provide some cheaper alternatives (i.e. I won't be able to afford dragon chain mail). If it matters, I mainly train using melee. Thanks.

P.S. My stats are Att 62, Str 72, Def 60, Range 45, Mage 64 (or click on the link in my sig). I'm happy to train any of these if it will help me wear better armour. Any recommendations? :-k

Cheers,

Guthan is the best barrows set for training, since it allows you to heal without using food.

As for cheaper armor, obviously dragon legs and chainbody are the best thing higher than rune.

For a shield I would either use rune defender or the obby shield. Dragon square isn't worth the price with these 2 items around.

Complete Fremennik Trials and you can use the berserker or warrior helms as a nice improvement from your rune large. These cost 50-75k a piece.

Full Dragon is the most expensive of all armors, more expensive than ALL barrow sets combined!.

Barrow is for the moderately financed ppl, with Guthan being the most useful for training (costs 8.5m or there abouts). If you cannot afford Full guthan, then i suggest buying Dharok Plate and Legs. These guys costs very nearly the same as torag's equivalents and has the same def all around. For the Helmet just either get Torag Helm (200k) or Berserker helm (60k). Torag's are only popular because its a set, however compared to Dharok or Guthan, Torag is only 10 better at all melee and ranged def than the those (verac has rather low defence due to its Brassard's stats).

True, but rune kiteshield can't cost more than 60K and it doesn't even cost that much. It most often costs 45K-50K.

Some people want defence, if you are one of them, ThreeRivers1 go for rune kiteshield, but don't copy me in my signature though.

Rune KiteShield with Full Torag's is probably one of the best outfits.

Also get rune boots, that gives you good defence as well, not very good but still good one.

Hope I helped.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I already have full rune apart from the boots, so here are my plans based on your feedback:

1. Buy rune boots.

2. Save up for an obby shield.

3. Try to get myself an obby cape drop by smashing a heap of TzHaars (I expect that will take me a while).

4. Then I'll have to finish Fremennik Trials (I've done all of it apart from the Thorvald fight part. :?: Any chance I'll be able to beat Koschai the Deathless with my current stats?) to get a Berserker/Warrior helm.

:?: Does this sound like a good plan until I can eventually wear barrows armour?

P.S. Forgive my ignorance, but :?: what are rune defenders and rfd gloves?

Cheers,

GUTHANS-BEST FOR TRAINING

TORAGS-BEST DEFENCE IN GAME

KARILS-RANGE ARMOUR

AHRIMS-MAGIC ARMOUR

DHAROKS-HITS HIGH

VERACS-HITS THROUGH PRAYER AND BEST FOR KQING.

HOPE THAT HELPS.

Technically Dharoks, Guthans and Torags have same defense. People just choose to buy Torags for that specific reason, because it's cheapest.

Dark Gloves are rewards for completing Recipe For Disaster entirely.

And rune defender are optained in the warriors' guild, but you have to kill massive number of ch.... Can't remember the spelling to get it.

Cyclopses?
