Daylight Savings Time Ends

Featured Replies

I would like to remind everyone that if you live in countries that do Daylight Savings Time, set your clocks back 1 hour.

Grr I am so confused. What time is it in Britain?

It's 1.49 PM in Britain.

Good for me and a lot of other sleepy people, we get to sleep 1 extra hour with no consequence tomorrow 8-)

Okay got the time in britain. 2:54

Accoring to my knowledge it's 2.07 pm... my dad says it's half four... :? :? :? :uhh:

You are both wrong. I set my phone to GMT time. Standard time on. Checked the time against Sky Digital's time. Plus I know because Futurama is on at 2pm Gmt on Sky Two.

Not as bad as me. I had my phone set 2 hours ahead of time. So at 2:54 I thought it was 4:54.

Meh... you gotta remember most of us are in different time zones, lol.

*Sigh* Daylight saving, biggest BS ever. :wall:

I'm glad my computer figures it out for me, I just change everything to what it says.

It has actually been a lot less complicated this year, I live in Indiana which is one of the only places that didn't do Daylight Savings time. I think Indiana, Hawaii, and Arizona never used to change time. This year we did though. It didn't matter much to me, all the other years I still changed time since the whole family works in Cincinnati.

No kidding.. Some people I've talked to irl have been talking about the extra sleep they'll get but I really don't understand their logic. I'm still going to go to bed at midnight and get up at 7:30 (same as I always do). Could anyone show me where that extra time is?

It just feels like you're sleeping later, when in reality, you aren't. :P

You got extra sleep last night. If you went to bed at midnight, and woke up at 7:30, you would have slept 8.5 hours. Tonight when you go to bed at midnight and wake at 7:30 you will get 7.5 hours of sleep. Just like every other day of the year, except when Daylight savings starts again. That night when you go to bed at midnight and wake at 7:30 you will only have slept 6.5 hours.

All I know is I was working on my homework from about 1-4AM last night (don't ask), and only spent 2 hours. Explain that one, non-believers.
