November 2, 200619 yr YES! Thats right! For all you "Bruce Almighty" lovers theres going to be a sequal by the name of "Evan Almighty" expected to appear in theaters June 22nd 2007! Steve Carell will be playing Evan Baxter in the movie... Newly elected to Congress, Evan (Steve Carell) leaves Buffalo behind and shepherds his family to suburban northern Virginia. Once there, his life gets turned upside-down when God (Morgan Freeman) appears and mysteriously commands him to build an ark. But his befuddled family just can't decide whether Evan is having an extraordinary mid-life crisis or is truly onto something of Biblical proportions. Plot for "Evan Almighty" Discuss! November 2, 200619 yr IMHO Bruce Almighty wasnt THAT amazing and as soon as you take the original concept out it just becomes another bland movie. November 2, 200619 yr I was dissapointed after I watched Bruce Almighty the second time. It seemed like it should have been a lot funnier than it was. The only thing I really enjoyed was seeing Steve Carell in it, the first time I watched it I had no idea who he was. That's why I am thinking this new one might be OK.

Steve Carrel has potential to be greater later but Jim Carey has already proven himself with great movies.
