The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.

In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.

Yea that top part does seem to dull out the whole feel you get from the bottom. Maybe add small looking shards or somesuch thing to add connection around the image. I'm sure an impending sphere of doom concept on the top would look nice also. But if it were me I'd just lob off the top.

Though I've never done works of that sort, and wouldn't even know how to go about doing it, I say it's pretty nice looking ::' .

I've rarely seen, and never done, anything as such before. That being said, I would never have expected the colours to work so wonderfully here. Also, the multitude of textures, which would most likely be the ruin of many-a-picture, looks astounding.

Thumbs up from me. :wink:

Nads, you're still here. I'm surprised!

But on the critique side, a few things would have been nice, imo [;

For instance, a larger version would have been better - though this may or not be the case with you - I find that small resolution images often make me think that the person who made it is trying to cover up some mistake or lack of detail etc.

The typography doesn't appeal to me, I just personally think that the red text should be brighter, and the grey text just yonder plain white. [; In the end, it's really just you're own opinion, and as long as you're fine with your piece, then there's no need to conform to what I think.

Booyah. [;

hmm.. maybe large wasn't the right word for it.

I was having problems with the typography as well, in fact, probaly should have left it out.

Thanks for the comments guys. Oh, and hey forsaken. :wink:

Not a fan of this one--

Typography needs work, seems like you tried too hard for the red text/lower casing the r (it works with some words, others it doesn't, IMO this is one that doesn't work).

This is probably just a personal issue but when it comes to these types of abstracts, I like them bigger because you get to see the finer detail in the render/brushing. The small size limits that effect on the art, and from the piece as a whole.

The background, not sure if it's just because it's small, but the random brushed texture on the top doesn't match the bottom. I think it would've been better to just leave it a gradient background and maybe some linework if you wanted to get that effect to take away from the simplicity.

Brushing as a whole seems too random, really doesn't have that flow that many of the better renditions of this type of style contain; however I do like the render and its shine. The thing about brushing is that it all needs to go together; has to be smooth, I can't really explain it in words but I think you know what I'm talking about.

Aside from that, it's an okay piece, but I know you have the potential to do something a lot better.

:shock: . Where the heck did you come from King? Don't think i've seen you post in at least a year or two.

Anyways, I agree it is too small still. I think that's partialy me just simply trying to get back into doing larger and larger pieces after i've taken a break doing so many small signatures.

Other than that, I see what you are talking about. This was mostly a "one time deal" for me, just trying to see if I could do it 'ye know? :) .

Either way, thanks for the comments. Exactly what i'm looking for :) . Oh, and hey >_>.
