November 10, 200619 yr Ok, it's been way too long since i've done one of these. I haven't worked on a wallpaper in ages, and on a landscape in even longer. Well, decided last night i'd change that. The wallpaper is largly inspired and based off of the harsh and unforgivable landscape "Pandemonium" in Anarchy-Online. So, what do you all think? I haven't done this in forever so naturaly I forgot some stuff. :oops: .
November 10, 200619 yr Looks like the grand canyon but no so grand-y. Looks great, except for the dark slope part on the bottom where you can see layers...
November 10, 200619 yr Author Thanks. Pandemonium generaly doesn't have many "large" features. It's a really bleak world, in the game it's where the dead creatures in the shadowlands go when they die. So, technicly, it's a lot like hell. Just, with out the fire. Anyways, the landscape it's self is in an area where it constantly defys the laws of gravity. :wink:

November 10, 200619 yr Author Thanks guys. I think that "effect" you see at the bottom is because of the sunlight hitting the fog.
November 12, 200619 yr Pretty cool bro. My new background. Lol dude for christmas or my b-day I'm hoping to get a small handhelp video camera with some good quality. You could vid me again, believe it or not I've gotten alot better. I can ollie like a 7-8 set. :) 180 kickflip, etc. It'd be sweet to put together a vid, you can be my camera man. Then when I go pro.. :lol:

Oh, whats that? you want to make a 1900x1200 wallpaper? oh fantastic! :D The only thing to comment on is the fog? down the middle, center. It looks wierd, not continous shading, looks like a badly shaded pixel. "A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"

November 12, 200619 yr Author Thanks guys. And yeah, it's been a hell of a while remoteman :shock: . Anyways, on the 1900x1200...maybe, but i'm too lazy to re-render it. :oops: . (well,actualy I rendered it at 3200x2400, might be able to crop something up if i remember). I'd write a witty comment quoting dietokill2, but it's late and i'm tired.

November 13, 200619 yr (im presuming this is terragen and basing my opinion on it thereof..im im wrong about the program please correct me) its pretty mediocre...maybe satisfactory... id give it a 6/10 you really are getting rusty....your landscapes used to amaze me...on this one it seems the texturing is off...especially in the bottom right the atmospher also seems to have been a miss. Some parts look hazy, some look foggy, and some look dusty....i would reccomend re tweaking the setting... third is the clouds...they dont seem to fit it at all.. and there coloring doesnt really match the atmosphere..i would reccomend darkening and thickening them, and maybe set the skys color to a more hazey brown color thanks everyone for the sigs!
November 13, 200619 yr i like it a lot, i'll use it.been looking for a cool background. but i think i would like it better with a darker sky and lighting effect, maybe dusk, dawn or night, i think dusk would look awesome. Any chance of a re-make any time soon? :pray: hmmm, i have an 800x600 screen but all i do is save it, then go to where i saved it and right click it and click "set as background", and it resizes it and it don't look to bad, cept that black line at the top, but you can edit/crop that out. (woot for run-on sentences) (also if your wondering why my sentences don't go off way into the distance just push the enter button after you reach the end of the post box, so you save people the hard trouble of dragging the horizontial scroll bar all the way to the right and left like a typewriter.) http://forums.thegamehomepage.com/

Yeah, I do agree with you on all of that. I am, sadly, getting rusty. This was mostly to kind of get back into the swing of things. Hopefully over the next few pieces i'll regain my memory :wink:
