jemathonical
So, whens this gonna happen? I think the world should be 126 The Fishers were Monk Robes. And the locations are Karamja for lobbies and maybe barbarian village for salmon. We need a member to post this on the Runescape forums. Lets get this organised!!!!! \ ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
yurpsie
WORLD 126 - FISHING Start-12.00am GMT, 16th November 2006 RAW LOBSTERS - 50 each -monk robes RAW SWORDFISHES - 50 each -prince/princess costume/frog head RAW TUNA - free -prince/princess costume/frog head RAW SALMON - free -monk robes in barb village/lumbridge RAW TROUT - free -monk robes in barb village/lumbridge Since the frogs are really common, why not use them for swordfishes/tuna? Darkan420
There's really no reason for different outfits. The runners will say what they're buying and we'll trade them. But if the prince outfit thing goes through, I'll still wear my robes for swords.
Warned
I'll give this a try after i get 70 ranged and hitpoints (both 69 at the moment) :D Btw i think prince/princess costume/frog head is a bad idea becouse a lot of peaple just banking there own fish wear them, they are based on randoms to get and prince/princess outfits just look totally different at different genders (purple and white). The secret of creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.
25leaf
Stick with lobbys only for now. They are much easier to sell quickly. 50 gp each should be an adequte price. They are getting over doule the worth of what they would get air running so a small charge is fine. The only problem is they are going to need money to start. I will be there tomorrow at world 126 to help start it.

game_guy02
Alrighty people, the general store has a limit. As in after so many lobbies are sold, the price remains CONSTANT. If the fishermen sell for LESS than this price, lobby running will remain profitable. Lets say you can go to/from the store 40 times an hour. So, 40 * 270 = 10800 gp/hour. And thast just to the store. Ill be on world 126 from now on, so feel free to message game_guy02. Remember, the goal here is NOT to make a killing as a fisherman, it's mainly for easy exp. But price bidding would be good, just keep it BELOW the minimum shop buying price.

bigdrizzle13
yeah thats a good idea. . .but im willing to say that some guys might pay 25-50 gp a lob and take them to the bank where they could sell for 250 each. . .
game_guy02
Then let them bid-war. The importance is to NOT FORCE them to bank to make profit.
Darkan420
the lowest buying price I have for lobs in the shop is 33gp, and I'm pretty sure it goes lower than that. I still say it stays at 50 ea, we're doing them a favor by fishing the lobs we shouldn't get next to nothing for them. Besides, it takes like 2 minutes to walk to the bank. 5 minutes for there and back, 200gp profit a lob and that's almost 65k an hour for nothing. Only downside is it's a shorter walk shop to bank than it is fishing spots to bank. If we wanted as many people coming as possible we'd HAVE to go lower than shop price, otherwise they'll just buy from the shop instead of wasting time going to the island. yurpsie
I don't think 50 each is gonna be a good price. The general store sells for 40 each raw lobbie and they are always people who sell them to the general store.....

PhelimReagh
OK, I've read through all the posts and I've expanded upon it to include cooks as well as runners. Notes: The world should only be for lobsters. The varying ratios of swordfish/ tuna, and the high cooking level required for swords, makes things far too complex in this example. Charging too much makes it very, very difficult for low-level runners (the folks who would do this) to participate. This is an idea that needs to be worked through, although I think merchanters would start showing up at Draynor bank buying lobbies at 150-180, then going on to sell for 200. Prices are only suggestions, and ultimately the market will decide what the best prices will be for each. We can update the price as the ideas fleshes itself out. Take a read though, and let me know what you all think: Fast Lobs at Fisherman's Wharf (World 126)! The users at Tip.it were inspired by the success of "Fast Airs" for Air Running, and thought of a great idea: Fast Lobs on World 126. This is of huge benefit those who want Fishing and/or Cooking XP, and those who want to make about 50-100K gp/hour buying cheap cooked lobsters 25 at a time. The Basics Fishers stay at the Karamja docks and fish away for lobsters (lobsters only!). Cooks (Cooking Level 74 or better only! You cannot burn any Lobsters when you cook or it disrupts the entire process!) will come to World 126 for a steady, cheap supply of raw lobsters. After buying and cooking those raw lobsters, the cooks sell their 25 Lobsters to runners at a price at or near the price they paid the Fishers. The runners, after buying those dirt-cheap cooked Lobsters, will then run those Lobsters to the bank in Draynor, and then return to Karamja for another load. The Benefits to All Fishers can fish Lobsters virtually non-stop and get a reasonable amount of change for their efforts. No more fishing and dropping, or fishing and running to Draynor. Non-stop XP. Cooks get a steady stream of raw Lobsters, which translates into zero cost (or maybe even for-profit) Cooking XP! Runners will get 25 Lobsters for a fraction of their market rates (20-60 gp/lobster) How it Works 1. Fishers Sit there and fish away. Once you get 25 Lobsters in your inventory, step to the shore and look for buyers (those buyers may be cookers, or they may be raw runners... either way, you're selling raw Lobsters). See the "Buyers: Buying Raw" section below for how the buyers of raw Lobsters will present their offers. 2. Buyers 2.1 Buying Raw (Cooks and/or Raw Lobster runners) To buy raw Lobsters, Call out "Raw [price per 25 Lobsters]". If you're buying Lobsters at 25 each, you'd call out "Raw 625". If you're buying Lobsters at 50 each, you'd call out "Raw 1250" After calling out your offer, a fisher will trade you 25 raw lobsters. In return, you pay him your advertised fee. You are free to then do with those Lobsters what you wish. 2.2 Buying Cooked (Cooked Lobby Runners/Merchanters) To buy cooked Lobsters, call out "Cooked [price per 25 cooked Lobsters]" If you're buying cooked Lobsters at 30 each, you'd call out "Cooked 750". If you're buying cooked Lobsters at 60 each, you'd call out "Cooked 1500". BUYERS NOTE: For each purchase of cooked Lobsters, YOU MUST TRADE A LOG AS WELL AS THE FEE!. Inclusion of a log is implicit in any offer you present in this "Fast Lobs" format. The entire system will break down if cookers do not get logs in return. 25 Cooked Lobsters can fetch you at least 5,000 gp at this point in-game or on forums. With a cost of 750-1,500 gp per load, These Lobsters can be easily merched for high profits, somewhere around 60-100K/hour running back and forth between Draynor and Karamja. This compares to and can even exceed the rate one gets at "Fast Airs" on World 16. The only wrinkle is that you'll have to sell those lobsters at some point in-game, and as such requires a bit of start up gp. What think you all? Edits and suggestions appreciated! game_guy02
I love how I am credit-less hahahaha. ANYWAY, that all seems fine and dandy. Im most concerned about the fishing anyway, everything else i do not care about. BUT WE MUST SELL FOR LESS THAN THE STORE. Otherwise it defeats the purpose.
