Zelda: Twilight Princess

This thread may contain spoilers.

I should start out saying this looks like the most amazing game ever created.

From what I've seen, this game has everything. From running through a barrage of arrows, to fishing in a peaceful pond. As a Gamecube game, the graphics are some of the best ever. For Nintendo's standard, the cutscenes are incredibly dark and twisted. This game is said to be at least 50 hours long, which is incredibly long for a non-RPG game.

On an IGN review, it is said to be the best Zelda game ever created. (Although it only got a 9.5, due to some minor things like voice-acting)

I know it is coming out November 19th on the Wii, but according to IGN, it is coming out December 11th for Gamecube(For Americans). Can anyone confirm this?

I find it very wierd that is being released later for Gamecube, and earlier on a new system, especially sense this Zelda was originally intended only for Gamecube.

I am DYING for this game, I can't wait till December :wall:

So, if you can answer my question, or have any cool vidoes of this game, any discussions on this game, post them here.

I was on the bus the other day, asking some upperclassmen if they wanted the Wii. A lot said yes, and that they'd be getting Twilight Princess with it. I asked what was so great about it. (I haven't played any Zelda games.) They said, "Everything." I plan on getting the Wii, so I'll probably get TP with it. I usually trust game reviews, and if this game is getting a 9.5, it'll probably appeal to me.

Don't worry.. That doesn't count as a "spoiler". :)

I wouldn't count on it, different sites say different things. Gamespot for example says December 13th and some other sites simply say "first quarter of 2007".

Either way, even if the date may vary a bit from what you mentioned, I'd say it's very likely to come out before christmas. Nintendo would not miss such an opportunity to get massive sales done, because a lot of people *will* want the game as a christmas present.

For some reason I think this scenario never actually took place anywhere  No offense but it sounds like one of those dreams my 6 year old cousin would have. Sorry if you were being serious, but why'd you all of a sudden ask random people in Armani suits if they want a new gaming console..

I'm getting it for Gamecube, I'm just an old fashioned sort of guy :P

I think I'd enjoy it more just playing it normally then jumping around and swining my arms.

I don't know, I just want to play it like a normal zelda game. I've been waiting for another Ocarina of Time for a long time.

I know what you mean. I thought the same thing until I played this racing game at gamestop for the Wii. I had so much fun playing it and thought "if I like playing a racing game this much (I don't really like racing games), how much fun will a game be that I love."

If you didn't play the others it might be confusing.

I played ocarina of time, a little. But I mostly watched my brother play. However I still loved watching that because it was so interesting. Hell I might even get it for gamecube even though my brother is planning on getting the Wii and TP for it. But idk. I want tony hawk project 8 atm but I got in trouble so can't get it this weekend. :x :uhh:

The N64 and SNES editions were good but the Windwaker for GCN totally turned me of the Zelda series.

Which is why they made sure that this one was the best one yet.

They just made a mistake there, this one will be EXACTLY like the N64 ones, except 20 times better.

I was hoping that wouldn't happen. I thought it might be like the Mario games; you don't need to know who Princess Peach is, or who Bowzer is, you kinda just know what to do. Perhaps Zelda is a little more complicated than that?

The games are usually pretty self contained with minor references back :P

There are basically only three things you need to essentially now:

Link = Mario A.K.A. Hero

Princess Zelda = Princess Peach A.K.A. Princess who you have to save

Gandalf = Bowser A.K.A. Main Enemy (But Gandalf might not even be in this game)

Pfft, Princess Zelda is in no way comparable to Peach. Especially considering she is one of the most lethal people in the world.

Ganon is in the game, and from what I hear it is a shock!

Upperclassmen are people in a school that are in a higher grade than you. Not literally men of a higher social class than you. I mean I'm a senior at my school - an upperclassman. I would have given the same answer, so I can vouch that such a scenario can actually take place - so I'm just assuming you don't know what the word means.

I have to agree with that. ocarina of time was a great game. And this seems to be the half-sequel I have been waiting for. I can tell this game will become my favourite zelda game.
