B will swing it if you already have it lit, not put it away. A is the way to turn it off and put it back.

Either way, I finished this today and after some considerations, it wasnt what it was hyped up to be. I feel the story was a major let down, it just didnt have the depth that Majora's Mask had, you dont really get to know any characters and most of them arent characters you will remember in years to come. The ending was pretty average as well and feels rather tacked on and is left fairly open.

The other thing that irritated me is there seems to be no huge side quests, something which made Majora's Mask awesome. Its mostly little tasks and things like that. I wanted something like the Kafei/Anju side quest from MM, but there doesnt seem to be one.

The boss battles were a let down too, granted that when you look back at other Zelda games, they all follow the same formula which is "use item you get in dungeon to stun, hack and slash, repeat," but even then, they still seemed too easy.

Even though it isnt exactly what I had been hoping for, it was still a damn great game but it was let down by the story and lack of side quests. Better than OoT but not better than MM IMO.

I had the same thoughts. The dungeons and towns and areas looked great, but Link has no real relationships in this one. There are a few, but they're so stereotypical. The rest are so slim. I really loved Majora's Mask and OoT because you really got to know all the characters and their lives, which didn't happen in this one. This definitely is an awesome game - I just wish there was more character development and story.

Oh yeah...I remember that.

Maybe you just flew thru the game a little too fast? I'm 40 hours in and only on the snow dungeon, but I have almost all the miniquests done, have 30+ poes, have all of the bugs except one, and have the majority of the hearts available to me so far. I just like to soak everything in before I beat the game, not after. I think you enjoy the game itself better that way.

I'm sort of crushed between the Wii and 360.

On one hand I WANT princess and the Neat'O controller, but am afriad besides Twilight there are few games i'd enjoy. I DESPISE video-sports games , although the Wii-Sports sound vaguely more interesting.

One plus is that I recently got a strong computer the the 360 is rather defunctiveish since PC games have plenty of shooters...

I'd go with Wii.

If your skeptical about Wii sports, it is NOTHING like other sports games.

It's incredibly simple and just fun.

Well, I'm 36 hours into the game, already beat it, have 16 hearts, most miniquests completed, all bugs, 44 Poes, and (Small spoiler) beat the Cave of Ordeals.

Very good game. It's taken me nearly 10 hours to get through the Forest Temple and Goron Mines, I just got into the third area of twilight. The storyline is very good, I love the control scheme, from my point in the game, it is amazing. I would recommend the game to anyone with a Wii, and a Wii over a 360 to anyone for sure.

Thankyou...I *think* I'll be going for the Wii. My main concern I suppose is that nintendo abandoned gamers. Or maybe i abandoned Nintendo :s. In anycase Zelda seems the only game out so far that I'll love. I miss chrono trigger...*siighhh* :) Go emulators. But i dont intend to play Wii just for the downloading old games (:P i have all my roms ::' and hard copies :P)

My roommate just started the 3rd temple and is 18 hours in. :/

I got the 3rd temple in like 10 hours. And there isn't much else to do in the beginning of the game other than just getting further.

Maybe I'm just too good?

I think you sped through the game, the people at 1up played their second time at around 32 hours.

And for the boss battles, the desert boss was fun! but short.

Alright, what I'm saying is that before the third duengon, it's incredibly linear. There are almost no sidequests or other things to do. I managed to beat these parts in 10 hours while other people did it in 18. I liked the Desert Boss too, the only decently long boss is Zant.

Man, really cool. We got the game in store yesterday afternoon for Game Cube. And I had the day off today. I don't have a cube, nor do I have a Wii (yet), but my friend has a cube. So I took the game with me from work (we can borrow stuff for a day, yay for that) and I had my first try with it today, together with my mate. Man, it was great! I played on GC together with my friend (which was our first Zelda again since MM, so that was awesome on itself), but I was really surprised with how good it looked! It was so filmsy, and the graphics were better than expected. What a great atmosphere, and are they going to release that soundtrack on CD? Can't wait to continue the game. We played for about four hours and we got into the first temple now and got four or five monkeys out. Can't wait to see what's going to come next!

Yeah, I'm playing Wind Waker on Gamecube now. I always have the urge to point the controller at the screen and I end up feeling like an idiot.
