i liked slayer when it came out. i liked farming when that came out. i liked construction when that came out as well....i dont like hunter nor do i see a significant benefit for hunter....please help me? Slayer i love the drops, farming i use for herblore, construction gave me a warm bed and a cozy home...hunter.....AHHH!!!!!

i completely agree with you. hunter doesnt seem to offer any help to a player at all. the only thing that i see is good is the capes and maybe the salamander

Capes, gloves for theiving, spiffy-looking (although weak) armours. It may not be much, but it's something...

i also agree. Nothing I see that benefits the player. At least make some of the creature stuffable for home decor.

 

 

 

All I see so far is new items to scam noob players.

Butterflies for combat bonus for your friends, and the new salamander weapons. Also the new crossbow (not sure of its quality), and the imp-in-the-boxes. Those could be useful.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That's about it... so far. Remember, this is only the first day.

The capes are where i see the most benefit if they are as good as boots of lightness or better then thats a great advantage for rcing and general skilling.

 

 

 

The gloves seem good too.

 

 

 

As for the skill i thinks its going to be more like construction opening up small things which make the game easier.

If you ask me, Jagex just put it in to fill up the gap, and they have room for one more skill. It's just like agility and firemaking, it has some uses but it's not to be a skill of it's own...It should have been a part of Slayer.

Yep, I love hunter, just coz its fun. After all isnt that what runescape is about?

No skill has been so suited for Tears of Guthix and Genie Lamps.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also like most skills (and consider myself a skiller), with the exception of the mind-numbing, click-intensive, failure-prone agility and thieving.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hunter joins them, and for the same reasons. Lots of clicks, tedious, skills for the sake of skills, with no point to them and no real thought having gone into them (firemaking is kinda pointless as well, and click-heavy, and my life would be none-the-worse if it were to disappear, but I don't seem to mind it as much).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will train Hunter only when I need to, just as I don't train agility or thieving unless I have to.

It's funny, I was worried it might be TOO much like farming. Now that it's not, and I see what it is, I wish to God that is had been.

I hate waiting for the birds, but I like tracking.

You can't love all skills. Just train those skills you want to train, and nothing else. But if you want a high hunting level, It won't come by wishing.

Completely normal. Noone likes all skills. Look at me; I hate Herblore, Ranging and above all Construction but love Agility, Hunting and other near-useless skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But about benefits; Noone here has mentioned that the Hunting Crossbow gives you a +55 ranging bonus when wielded...
