I'm about to become a member, and i want to start the quest right away. Or should i save for a whip( although im against them sorta) what does it mean when it says for the abby whip's special: drains 10 percent energy and transfers to you. energy=health? Esh Posted November 27, 2006 Share Posted November 27, 2006 Normally it's refered to as DDP++ not DD++ but that just spliting hairs. Everyone should know what you mean if you use either. You'll need to do the Lost city quest for the DD and then monkey madness for the Scimmy. Don't buy any of them from stores, go to world 2 and pick them up a little cheaper. D Scimmies are good for training as long as you don't train in control mode. If you train this way you might be better off using the D long but honestly I've haven't seen a lot of people train this way. The whip is a powerful weapon, the only thing that I don't like about it is that there just under 2mil for one. That pretty much puts it out of my reach. It would be interesting to hear what you have against them. But coming in as a new member, unless you got the money to buy a whip (I would say have at least 4 to 6 mil before considering buying one) do the quests and get the D scimmy with DDP++. Hitting 8 three times is always better than hitting 10 twice in the same amount of time. Plus the special for a DD combined with the best poison can take out a target extremely quick. As for the d scim vs. d long debate, the speed difference is enough to make the scim a better choice. Or if you really prefer power, you can go with the baxe. the baxe is actually stronger than a whip (82 str bonus for whip, 85 for baxe) but less accurate and considerably slower. No matter what you get, you WILL get a dds. The spec is the second best koing tool in the game. (The best being a granite maul, but you have only 1 ko per spec bar with that.) Personally, I use a d scim for str training, whip for attack training, and dds/d mace in fights for koing. Whatever you choose, the weapons are all superior to rune, and will serve you well. 7 months ago, shoulen m0nk lured me for everything. earth500 Posted December 1, 2006 Share Posted December 1, 2006 i'd start out with the dragon long and the dragon dagger (make it poisoned asap b4 u use it tho) since they only need 1 quest to use. if u like the halberds effect of hitting enemys over fences and enemys just out of reach then get that one eventually. ( halberds are a hate it or love it thing. it's your call on whether u like em or not) get the scimmy relativly quickly but bcuz u need 3 quests to use it stick with the d long for time being. the abby whip is something you're gonna want to get eventually but get the afore mentioned ones first.(with the exception of the halberd get it now if you really like it for it's effect but other wise wait cuz the halberd is slow) other ones to get eventually are the b axe, dragon spear poisoned (i just like it. its poisonable and it's freakin cool looking) and d mace if you're a prayer freak who likes to use prayer often.
