A few days ago jagex banned me for real life trading.

 

 

 

I never did anything to benefit from runescape in real-life, but they said they had evidence, so i just went to see what evidence they had against me.

 

 

 

So i went to the appeal a ban section, logged in on my account and saw the offence i committed according to them.

 

 

 

I clicked on 'view the evidence' and after that on 'i demand to see the evidence'.

 

 

 

I expected to see something stupid from jagex, seeing how people are getting banned for the craziest reasons.

 

 

 

And this is what i saw:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"This account has been banned because of Encouraging Other To Break Rules & Real World Trading.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have evidence to prove that you have being intentionally playing RuneScape in order to financially benefit yourself in the real world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You have been deemed to be in complete control at the time of the incident."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

No evidence at all, and my ban appeal was rejected.

 

 

 

So here i am...... sitting with a banned account, which got banned for something i never did, and they refuse to show me "the evidence" they have.

 

 

 

I sent 10 messages to them now, and gotten 4 replies so far.

 

 

 

All 4 were automated replies, showing that they didnt even read what i wrote.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But when i told my friend about it, he said that a permanent ban isn't permanent, but for 6 months.

 

 

 

My friend is a very trustworthy person, but i'd like to hear some more people about this.

 

 

 

Is a permanent ban really permanent, or only for 6 months?

my freind got banned for a couple of monthes, made an appeal, got unbanned but with a perm mute, then appealed the mute a week later and got the mute lifted...

That's happened to my mate ell rules1 AKA Preditormc... but no lift on the mute.. so far..

Problem is though, i already appealed the ban, and they declined it....... and i cant appeal it again.

 

 

 

And its written in the ban/mutes section that they wont even consider messages appealing bans outside of the ban appeal section.

 

 

 

So that kinda means my account is banned for something i didnt do, and i cant even appeal it anymore :(

 

 

 

All i can do is hope that the 6 month thing is true, is there anyone that can confirm it?

I hope not as well. My pure prayer and skiller (look in my sig) got banned for "bug abuse"... But I didn't abuse any bugs!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I hope the ban gets lifted, 'cause that was my favorite character..

No guarantee they will lift a permanent ban, but it does happen a lot. Best shot is play a diff account, wait for a pmod offer, accept, and put in a request for your other account that way.

 

 

 

Several current pmods were previously perma-banned and recovered this way. There are some benefits to pmod, liek actually getting a real message not an automation in a couple months.

I dunno, I think it all depends on the type of rule they think you broke.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My friend got banned 2 years ago for being a potential threat by "knowing too much java" because he made a video of himself using artmoney.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He still appeals to this very day, each time getting rejected.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But if they have no evidince on you, you have a good chance of getting it back.

I think that this ban will stand, I have seen people like you in this situation before who have not done anything wrong and have no proof that they havenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t. Also I have seen rule breakers slip through the net too. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m sorry but I think the ban will stand

He replied to all the 4 messages i got back, and all 4 were the same automated message..... didn't even take the time to read em, just replied with the same automated message 4 times.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And about the Pmod thing..... yea it is pretty unlikely, but i can always hope :

Went through pretty much the whole RS website, and it isn't indicated anywhere.

Mine is a permanent ban i have been banned for almost a year now and i appealed again a few weeks ago... got the message "would you like to become a member" :roll: I might send another one next year but i doubt very highly i will get unbanned lol

It's been almost a year since one of my accounts was pema banned and I just tryed to log on and it's still banned.

 

 

 

So I doubt the 6 months thing is true.

Not perm , had old acc named "jagex_dude" That got perm banned, I think i posted on OLD tip it forums, 4 years later i got bored and tried it , logged in :), but i sold computer with all my rs info on it , and i forgot its pass #-o.
