well i've got about 6m. and i hear a lot of people say that people with high level crafting are usually rich. i figured that with lvl 50 crafting that i have now, i could buy 20k cow hides and get them all into leather and make 20k coif's and i'd be at level 70 crafting ish. it'd cost me around 3m before selling the coifs to a shop or where ever i can sell 20k coifs without selling them all for 1gp each.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

these are my skills... maybe you have suggestions on something else i could make money off of by putting money into..

70 crafting definitely would be profitable especially in selling power ammys, you could buy diamonds for around 3-4k ea and then sell the power ammy for 7-8k per making an instant 4k profit. I used to merchant power ammys and they definitely sell very well

With Miscellania, you get 1,250 Flax/day if you put the maximum number of workers on it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That takes a little over an hour to spin into bowstrings, and you could then sell for close to 200K in profit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So if you're not in some sick rush, you could hit 70 in about a month just wandering up to Miscellania every couple of days.

True but have you tried tanning 20k pieces of leather? I wanted to kill myself after only tanning 2k blue hides.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's the most boring thing I've ever done and you wanna do 20k cowhides? Good luck.

Crafting and alching elemental battlestaves is usually pretty quick, and you don't lose money.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just a little risky, as you need to go through wildy, usually, for the fast routes.

I personally went with the flax method as well, getting my flax from MTK. I also only put 5 of my workers on flax and got 70 crafting after a while. Great money too.

i suggsest also flax. This is what i m doing. I did get also from MTK enogh falx to get lvl 71 crafting. (still need to spinn 8500). And now i m trying to spinn 1000-2000 in a day

thats a lot of flax.. i'll probably do that. and i put the 20k cowhide tanning into consideration.. but also spinning 42000 flax will be a pain to do too :|

Wagons is french?

Buy seaweed/soda ash, collect sand [Do hand in the sand. If you want to make this part faster, buy house tele tabs and make a house in Yanille. It will almost double the speed.] Make them into molten glass, make them into orbs. Easy exp., and you're making a profit.

i still dont know what to do because spinning 42000 bow strings sounds pretty lame even though it will get me profit. if i do the coif thing, i could try and buy pre tanned leather and just stand right next to the bank and click for a couple days straight...

If you are going for 42k flax, I would think that Lumbringe is the faster than Seers. I found a guy selling 6k flax... Don't need to buy it all at once but buy it piece by so you don't burn yourself.

I'm in more or less the same position as you - got 54 crafting and am aiming for 70. I'm not taking the coif route, oh, no, I'm making it more difficult for myself and doing studded chaps :) - which at least means I get my smithing up as well, plus my mining, as I'm getting all the source materials (ie coal and iron) myself (this is because I'm a cheapskate who hates paying for things I can get myself :)). I'm also making shedloads of various rings, using my stash of gems acquired through Shilo (plus gold I mine myself), and then a friend is letting me spin several thousand bowstrings for her...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm doing it this way because I think I'd lose the will to live if I had to do nothing but tan and sew, tan and sew - this way I get some variety. After trudging back and forth in AlKharid and tanning half my stash of hides (done 1k of them so far) I realised that I wasn't having fun, so decided to look for ways of making the levelling process more enjoyable - hence the above. OK, so it'll take me longer, but it'll FEEL shorter..lol!

If you're tanning cowhides, i advise you to tan in the free world. You can make nice deals there. Cheap hides. I did it that way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

70 craft is worth it

i want 70 crafting.. but no route seems even near possible for me. it took me MONTHS to finish 12000 steel bars.. that sucked..

Get 57 with flax then start killing green drags for hides and craft then sell or alch nice easy exp if you can avoid pkers.

I got from 54-70 craft with flax and green d'hide bodies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The flax method is good, because you make a profit; the hide method is good because its much faster xp, and you get magic xp from the alcing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I managed to buy a lot of green hides at 1.5k ea which is a good price, and I had minimal losses per hide.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

70 crafting worthwhile? I dno, I didn't do it to make profit, but since I've had 70 crafting, I've barely made any cash from it..though I haven't been trying...anyway GL!
