"What would you do if jagex released 20 new servers for rs2, but you had to make a new account for it. It would be like starting rs all over again, but for everybody. (you get to keep your old account too) I have talked to several people, and they all think this would be a great idea Many people have talked about how it would be cool for jagex to wipe all accounts of skills and items. Most people hate this idea though. Most people love their account, and have worked hard for it. Everybody who was around for Rs classic knows how much fun it was when every one was lvl 60, and a lvl 70 was a rare sight. If someone walked around with a r2h, it would be like someone today walking around with 10 p hat sets. This would be fun to do, not only because there would be no rich merchants with billion dollar hats on that keep going up in price 5 mil a week, but also because you wouldn't be able to buy your skills anymore. Now remember, I am not saying to have jagex "wipe" peoples accounts. I am saying to make another rs2, or "rs2.5" (not that it is better than rs2, just a different name) Rules: If you disagree, please state why you disagree. Follow all forum rules. Think about hunter. after few days somebody had it 70 or so. The first week would be great, but after that... Im not a nolifer, after first week i would have combat 30 and total 250 or something. And then there would be ppl with 70 cb and 500 total. That would be same like now. Im combat 70 and total 1300, and there is lots of ppl with 110+ combat and 1700+ total. So that would be same to me like now. I just couldn't do so much things that I can now. It would be cool for the nolifers, I agree, but in my opinion, nah, not so good. But the first week would be nice! :D after that I would start to play with my current account... :-s PS. Don't ask what is a "nolifer". The name tells all. They are ppl with no other life than RuneScape. They just level and level. They just play RS and play RS and play RS and eat and play RS and sleep ( :?: ) and play RS and... Celebi, I see where you're coming from, but even if everyone had 99 in everything, if the rares market was gone, and bots eliminated, every other product in the game would have a different price than in the 'normal' game. It'd be a grand experiment in RS economics at the very least. I suppose for a while, TT, dragon, barrows, and other hard to get items would be the new rares market, as more people got their levels up and did clues, the prices would stabalize again. It wouldnt be that hard for JaGex to put in, the server thing would get a little confusing, so they would have to put in some new login screen saying that you're getting on the new RS. And do you think JaGex might change somethings? or would they do everything the same(I doubt it). Such as dropping Party Hats or would they take something out of the game, like fletching and make it a part of woodcutting(not something I'd support but just a thought). And would there be a seperate highscores from rs2 to rs2.5? forums? player mods? I support this, although I'd probably only play the rs2.5 version on an alt, I would still play my rs2 main seeing as Ive put in too much time to just drop him.... tomdavies90 Posted December 2, 2006 Share Posted December 2, 2006 sounds pretty good, only annoying thing would be everyone would start out poor so like if you wanted a rune axe you wouldn't be able to get one...that would be the only problem, the economy would be completely gone, imagine "w00t 70 attack i can wield a whip" "oh wait nobody has 85 slayer yet...." and when someone did get 85 slayer they be the richest person in the game, that'd be the only bad thing Sig by me.... Then, all players would be equal to each other. I always dreamed about that kind of server... :P Every path you have trod, through wilderness and through war, has led to this road...
