Lonk41
I'm just looking for some pointers like.. Myabe you could do something else on it? I am putting a dds and something else on it, also i'm shading it, you could do the same and we'll compare at the end? I just need tips tbh hehe Remember ~ Nothing Is Impossible - Lonk41 My Blog :)
hiimben
I quickly did this. If you zoom in on the red, you can see that I dithered (how I dither) at the edge of each colour to blend the colours :P You can practise on the Purple if you want. Sorry it's rushed but it's 1am :( Anyways, G'nite :)

Lonk41
Just logged back, and I made this, the book is abbsolutly rubbish!: I did it for my mate, who was pleased. Remember ~ Nothing Is Impossible - Lonk41 My Blog :)
hiimben
If he was pleased then that's good. You might just want to look at a thick book and see that instead of a square/rectangle, you can use the line tool to make it look more like a block, then you can further it out to make it look like pages and a book cover, hope I could help :)

hiimben
Hi,, I have a problem. I think at least one pixeler out there has experienced it and I was wondering if someone could help me. Well, I don't feel as inspired to pixel as I was before. I look at work and think how many could never compare, which I know if I work hard on it, it very well could. And as I start a pixel I tend to not finish it. There isn't a lack of motivation. Looking around the backyard gives me plenty of ideas. I think at the moment it's just my mind putting up road blocks so that I think I can't pixel well. If anyone could help I would appreciate it :)
hiimben
Hi all, I have the lines for a new idea for a signature and I need your opinions. the idea is that the guy in the middle is sitting at the end of a bridge :?: or on a chair :?: In the forest or something. Then on the bg I'll have some tree's and perhaps some mist at the bottom and around the bridge will be water which I hope to animate :) Here's my battle of the pixelers entry (Round 2) Peace Out

If anyone could help I would appreciate it :) I go through this period lots, I will just sit at a desk and draw anythig that pops into my mind, this is inspiration for many of my pixels. Also if you feel you cannot finish a piece, ask for cc and then use that cc. This makes me want to finish a piece of work because I know owea should be happy with it.Keep pixeling! hiimben
Thanks, but whenever I post work no one replies :P Anyways, I am working on putting fog or a low cloud at the bottom of the tree's what would be a good way to pixel this. 1) Should I shade normally and have darker spots for the tree trunks, etc. 2) Should I shade normally and have lighter spots for the tree trunks, etc. 3) Should i Pixel the ground normally then go over it leaving 1 pixel of normal ground then one pixel of fog. or any other suggestions. Replies are encouraged and appreciated :D Edit: I can get away with not making a new post :P But there is progress. Just put the basic colours and I still dunno what to do with the fog :o
eckered
you should only pixel if you truly enjoy doing it. i think that if you truly think of any good ideas, then you should stop for a week or two, and then come back with some new insperation. as for not finishing pixels- thats normal, dont wory about it. ive got a folder of unfinished pixels that takes up nearly a gig. the best way to put clouds around your trees is to: -pixel the tree -keep your palette off to the side -make a new palette of grays that fade into browns and black (your bg) -shade in the thickest part of the fog a solid gray, and use the brownish gray tones to fade into the trees, and the blackish ones to fade into the sky. also, your dock is a bit to wide, i think it needs to be thinner, and not have as big of a slope. wop wop
hiimben
Thanks, I'll be trying that for the fog and I'll work on changing the bridge. Thanks :P
Kinslayer777
You make cool frizzy hair, i like it! It's a shame however that it's so difficult to see the hair on the robed figure.
